The Strategy Rotational Program is an early-career, rotational program, focused on developing Wells Fargo’s strategy talent foundation. Participants complete rotations on individual business strategy teams and make meaningful contributions in setting the strategic direction of the company.

The program provides individualized career pathing guidance, customized learning & development opportunities, and unique on-the-job experiences.

You will work to provide strategic advice and innovative solutions to Wells Fargo’s core
businesses, and their senior and executive leaders.

What will you do?

Your responsibilities could include:

  • Contribute to setting the future-based strategy of your supported line of business
  • Evaluate strategic possibilities, develop innovative recommendations, and manage matrixed projects, in support of complex business needs
  • Deliver diverse solutions that guide the execution of business-centric priorities
  • Provide strategic consulting services to internal clients, leveraging product, project, industry, and business expertise
  • Conduct competitive assessments, customer and industry research, and financial analysis to understand Wells Fargo’s relative market position
  • Identify, gather, and analyze data to drive insights that inform a strategic recommendation
  • Use storytelling and data visualization to develop compelling presentations and business cases

Program structure:

  • 10-week internship or formalized, two-year rotational program focused on developing future strategy and business leaders at Wells Fargo
  • Full time senior strategy consultants will participate in multiple rotations in core strategy teams, lasting ~8 months each rotation
  • Develop subject matter, business, product, and functional expertise in matrixed areas of the company
  • Advance both “soft” and technical skills via structured “in class” learnings and “on the job” training and development
  • Develop a strong network of peers within and outside the cohort
  • Develop a diverse understanding of how the company works and how investments are prioritized

Desired qualifications:

   Internship

  • Masters of Business Administration (MBA) candidate with an expected graduation date of May – June 2026
  • 2+ years of work experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience using Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

   Full-Time

  • Masters of Business Administration (MBA) with an expected graduation date of May – June 2025
  • 4+ years of work experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Prior financial services, consulting, or strategy experience
  • Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to assess stakeholder, partner, or client needs while consulting
  • Ability to evaluate risks and the impact of decisions on an overall organization
  • Highly refined and professional verbal and written communications, inclusive of presenting complex information to senior business leaders
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial products and services

What does my future look like?

Potential career paths after completion of the program could include:

  • Advancement to a Lead Strategy Consultant and alignment full-time to a business strategy team
  • Advancement to a non-strategy role within the broader SDI organization (e.g., Digital) or Wells Fargo
