Liquidity Risk Senior Analyst

About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Liquidity Risk Senior Analyst.

Wells Fargo places a high reliance on deposits as a stable source of funding and it represents the largest source of funding to the Company. For these reasons, this role is critical in providing timely information to senior leadership and serving as a trusted advisor to the business groups on everything from pricing guidance for deposits, expected behavior during stress and regulatory treatment for deposits. A large component of this team's responsibilities is running the Company's deposits and debt positions through various stress tests, some completed as often as daily.

In This Role, You Will
  • Provide complex financial analysis and research in support of liquidity planning with a focus on deposits and debt.
  • Work with business groups to optimize the various deposit portfolios, serving as the subject matter expert in regard to liquidity regulations and stress testing methodologies.
  • Identifying and implementing solutions related to complex liquidity issues and contribute to on-going strategic decisions within Treasury and company wide.
  • Execute stress tests of the Company's Deposits which can cover idiosyncratic, systematic or other stress factors.
  • Complete thoughtful data and statistical analysis to inform refinement of existing stress testing assumptions.
  • Manage data processes to support compliance with emerging regulations on liquidity management and stress testing.
  • Prepare additional ad-hoc analyses/presentations and completing special projects.
  • Assist in the development, maintenance and execution of Governance & Oversight framework documentation and controls including reconciliation and variance analysis.
  • Assist in further development of proprietary reporting tools and testing of implementation of improvements/enhancements.
  • Ensure data quality and establish controlled processes.

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 4+ years of Treasury experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment to identify and resolve problems
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Financial analysis and forecasting, stress testing
  • Database querying and creating ad hoc reporting results using SQL or similar querying methods
  • Ability to successfully operate in a complex and matrixed environment
