Senior Lead Strategy Consultant (Home Lending Strategy)

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Strategy & Planning Consultant in our Strategy and Execution organization within the Home Lending business. This role will be within the Strategy and Planning team. This team focuses on defining broader Home Lending strategy, collaborates with business on setting direction for key strategic initiatives, and develops strategies to grow and enhance the experience of Home Lending’s target customer segments. Examples of prior projects include retention strategy, customer offer competitive research, indirect expense efficiency opportunities, and enterprise strategic planning.


In this role, you will:

  • Independently own deliverable development (from planning to socialization) for senior management

  • Contribute creative strategic thinking, set expectations with senior leaders, and lead cross-functional teams to define key business priorities

  • Use a fact-based approach to solve problems

  • Gather, analyze, and synthesize data from multiple sources to generate financial or qualitative consumer, industry, and market insights and benchmarks, that can be used as inputs to determine future strategy

  • Manage stakeholder relationships across the business (e.g., analytics, finance, business) and deliver high-quality content within defined timelines


Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Strategy and Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Management consulting experience at a top-tier consulting firm

  • Experience taking data to draw conclusions and translate findings

  • Experience identifying what data is needed to help define a strategy (including quantitative and qualitative data)

  • Experience leading large cross functional initiatives  

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management

  • Strong collaboration and partnering skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important

Job Expectations:

  • Hybrid in-office model (minimum of 3 days per week in one of the office locations listed). Telework or remote work setting is not available.

  • This position requires compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo’s compliance policies related to these requirements. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents.

Pay Range

$138,500.00 - $287,600.00 Annual
