Sr .NET Engineer

About this role:

The Enterprise Functions Technology (EFT) group provides technology solutions and support for Risk, Audit, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Corporate Properties, and Stakeholder Relations business lines. In addition, EFT provides unique technology solutions and innovation for Wells Fargo Technology, Enterprise Shared Services, and Enterprise Data Management. This combined portfolio of applications and tools are continually engineered to meet the challenges of stability, security, scalability, and speed.

The Architecture Portfolio Technology team provides technology solutions to manage and drive Enterprise Architecture goals for applications portfolio management. The solutions enable the implementation of Architecture on the Wire (AotW) capabilities for end-end dependency mapping of applications, managing the usage standards of third-party technology products within the enterprise and provide actionable insights on application code (blockers/boosters) for cloud migration initiative. 

We are looking for a Full stack Microsoft .NET Engineer (Senior Software Engineer) to help modernize existing applications that were developed using a variety of legacy technology tools. The ideal candidate must have extensive development experience with C#.NET, .NET Core, SQL Server as well as front-end frameworks such as Angular and/or REACT. In addition, they should know the installation, configuration, platform operations, and troubleshooting within a cloud hosting platform such as Azure, Pivotal Cloud Foundry etc. Besides, it would be a plus with experience in API design, ETL, Analytics and creating RESTful API patterns.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
  • Design, code, test, debug and document programs using .NET Core, Angular and other full stack development tools.
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

Additional responsibilities:

  • Participates in the strategy and design for projects associated with their technology domain including, upgrades and deployments. Utilizes advanced technologies and methods to integrate their technology domain with other technology domains, enabling the creation of new or expanded heterogeneous environments.
  • Develops new documentation and departmental technical procedures. Assures data quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported technology domain.
  • Successful applicants will have ability to work in a team oriented environment while leading development and implementation of a large and complex intranet application.
  • This requires leveraging advanced knowledge and experience with cloud based application development, Enterprise Pipeline (CI/CD)  and SQL skills.
  • The Senior Software Engineer will handle analysis, design, programming, debugging and unit testing.  The Senior Software Engineer will be given the opportunity to analyze business requirements as they pertain to web-based systems in order to determine and implement the most efficient and cost-effective software/package solution.
  • Expectations also includes maintaining existing code, performing enhancements as part of an Agile delivery team, deliver major/minor security fixes and vulnerability remediation as required.

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience with Full stack development
  • 4+ years of experience a combination of C#.NET and/or .NET Core, SQL
  • 4+ years of UI (User Interface) experience using in one or a combination of the following: Angular, React
  • 2+ years of experience with Agile Scrum (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning and Sprint Retrospective meetings) and Kanban
  • 2+ years of experience in RESTful API/web services


Desired Qualifications:

  • An industry-standard technology Developer certification such as Azure.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Cloud computing, micro services and containers
  • Enterprise Pipeline (CI/CD) and Pivotal Cloud Foundry utilization experience
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to work outside of regular business hours, as needed.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid office environment - 2 days in the assigned Wells Fargo office and 3 days in your home office.
  • This role is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.

Pay Range

$84,000.00 - $149,400.00 Annual
