About this role:

We are looking for a Principal Engineer who enjoys and thrives on solving complex problems through innovation impacting change at scale in a diverse environment. You will join a focused team of platform integration engineers delivering centralized, standardized and automated services for infrastructure designing, provisioning and maintaining the lifecycle of the Enterprise Functions Technology Platforms.

The Platform Integration Engineering team is introducing and advancing automated standardized disciplines across Infrastructure Provisioning, Infrastructure Refreshes, Infrastructure Decommissions, Capacity Management, Vulnerability Remediation, Certificate Management, Middleware Standardization, Database Standardization and End to End Patching across several hundred applications and multiple vertical lines of business supporting the entire firm.  The Principal Engineer will lead, create and execute a cohesive technology strategy across the Platform Integration horizontal services. The Engineer will also be required to partner, collaborate and influence across multiple teams in technology.

In this role, you will:

  • Act as an advisor to leadership to develop or influence applications, network, information security, database, middleware, operating systems, or web technologies for highly complex business and technical needs across multiple groups

  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking

  • Translate advanced technology experience, an in-depth knowledge of the organizations tactical and strategic business objectives, the enterprise technological environment, the organization structure, and strategic technological opportunities and requirements into technical engineering solutions

  • Provide vision, direction and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions

  • Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommends innovations that enhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organization

  • Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 10+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 10+ years of experience leading and executing the design and development of innovative solutions and driving recommendations for changes to data systems, infrastructure, or processes

  • 2+ years working with configuration and monitoring technologies such Ansible, Telegraf, Grafana

  • 5+ years of system administration experience across multiple platform

  • 5+ years of experience with Cloud technologies

  • 5+ years of Agile experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of solutioning, designing and implementing scalable horizontal platform services

  • 10+ years of infrastructure development (Java, Python, PowerShell) on Windows and Linux

  • 10+ years of Middleware and Database experience

  • 10+ years of managing and remediating vulnerabilities and hygiene issues across hundreds of servers

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Job Expectations:

  • Design and execute an end-to-end cohesive strategic solution across the Platform Integration services delivering the right outcomes

Pay Range

$144,400.00 - $300,000.00 Annual
