Senior Process Engineer

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Process Engineer in Chief Operating Office Audit, providing coverage in: Operations, Regulatory and Policy Affairs, Enterprise Customer Excellence, Sales Practices Oversight and Management, and Strategic Execution and Operations.  It also includes the Chief Administrative Office, encompassing the Corporate Properties Group, Corporate Security, Enterprise Business Resiliency, Strategic Programs and Process Improvement, Enterprise Change Management, Supply Chain Management, and Data Management and Insights. In this role, you will:

  • Lead group initiatives that encompass research and future state requiring application of specialized knowledge or skills critical to the redesign efforts
  • Ensure effective relationships among the design teams and partners
  • Develop root cause research and business case for proposed technology, staff and structure changes, including cost estimates
  • Establish standards for measuring performance against process requirements utilizing formal process engineering tools and methods
  • Ensure development of metrics that provide data for future improvement opportunities
  • Ensure appropriate application of cultural focus, tools, and statistical approach
  • Coach redesign teams
  • Make decisions and resolve issues to meet business objectives
  • Interpret policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers
  • Lead team to achieve objectives


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Process Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and understanding of Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) discipline
  • Knowledge and understanding of Business Process Management Notation (BPMN) software such as iGrafx
  • LEAN/Six Sigma certification or Wells Fargo business process management endorsement
  • Highly refined and professional verbal and written communications, including facilitation experience
  • Strong analytical skill with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage complex projects in a large enterprise environment
  • Virtual leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results, provide feedback/direction, and manage/build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment
  • Experience in current state process modeling, process re-engineering and future state workflow modeling
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and root cause analysis skills
  • Ability to work effectively with senior management (SVP, EVP’s)
  • BPMN knowledge and working experience, along with other Business Process Management software and tools, such as PEGA, ORACLE, TIBCO or Asana
  • Familiarization with Agile tools, such as JIRA and CA Rally
  • Knowledge and expertise in technology implementation and system projects
  • Experience in financial institutions
  • Bachelor’s degree


Job Expectations:

  • The Senior Process Engineer will drive intake activities and partner with Corporate Risk constituents to help evaluate needs and navigate fit for purpose process improvement solutions.  This Process Engineering Team requires an understanding of the overall control environment strategy and is well versed in the process improvement/re-engineering services, digital tools, and platforms.
