About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead in Growth Marketing as part of Consumer and Small Business Banking Marketing.  The Growth Marketing Team within Wells Fargo Consumer and Small Business Banking (CSBB) is looking for a Senior Lead of Performance Marketing. Growth Marketing is responsible for driving new customer and balance growth profitably via effective, integrated marketing strategies.

This role will oversee all performance media campaigns (paid search and affiliate) under the CSBB umbrella (deposits, small business, mobile banking, etc.), and will be a SME in acquisition media with aggressive ROAS goals. The candidate will be responsible for developing campaign strategy and working closely with internal and external (third party media agency) partners to activate, manage, and optimize campaigns to achieve volume and efficiency goals.  The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working in search/affiliate platforms and managing multiple campaigns. The candidate will partner closely with internal marketing stakeholders as well, on monthly forecasting, sharing results, and cross-channel strategy.

In this role, you will:

  • Act as an advisor to senior leadership to develop or influence successful delivery of innovative campaigns, programs and initiatives that drive business outcomes for multiple products, business lines or more significant programs and seamless customer engagement across digital channels within marketing

  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges which require in depth evaluation across marketing, delivering solutions that are long term, large scale and require partnership with cross functional groups to create digital experiences for more advanced initiatives that enable seamless customer engagement across digital channels

  • Provide vision, direction, and expertise to more experienced leadership on implementing significant business solutions that are large scale, highly complex initiatives across organizational boundaries requiring new strategies and thinking

  • Engage with partners, cross functional groups, business partners and lead vendor relationships

  • Serve as subject matter expert in digital marketing and stand up new processes and new affiliate programs

  • Own the collaborative relationship with agency partners, ensuring campaigns meet growth and efficiency goals

  • Manage the strategy, execution, and performance of performance campaigns through the prospect life cycle

  • Create monthly volume/CPA forecasts; report on actuals vs. forecast, and drivers of any discrepancies

  • Lead performance media briefings, kick-off meetings with the agency, forecasting, campaign optimization, and reporting

  • Serve as the internal paid search and affiliate subject matter expert that keeps marketing abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and new platform roll-outs

  • Drive innovation and identifies new opportunities in paid search (testing new engine capabilities, buy types, targeting, ad products, etc.) that drive growth

  • Partner with the cross-functional media team to contribute to, and deliver a cohesive full-funnel media plan

  • Support audit requirements to document controls, QA processes, and risk mitigation procedures

  • Accountable for monthly performance media budgets, and volume

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Marketing, Digital Marketing, Digital Platforms (i.e. Mobile or Social Media) experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of hands-on paid search and affiliate experience at an agency or marketer with prospect acquisition goals

  • Deep understanding of affiliate and engine/platform (SA360, Bing/Yahoo) capabilities, optimization levers, tagging, bid strategies, etc.

  • Expertise in applying strategic thinking to complex performance campaigns, with demonstrable track record of achieving campaign KPIs

  • 3+ years of experience working with 1st, 2nd, 3rd party data sets

  • Strong data analysis abilities – ability to work with large data sets and derive actionable insights and results; developing forecasts

  • Excellent presentation skills and communicator

  • Proven record of leading and managing teams

  • BA (Bachelor of Arts) or equivalent with an emphasis on marketing, business, or coursework of a quantitative nature; preferably a degree in Marketing, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or Statistics

  • Previous experience managing advertising agency relationships

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Pay Range:

Salary range is determined by location of the job.  May be considered for a discretionary bonus, Restricted Share Rights, or other long – term incentive awards.
