About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Finance & Accounting Associate
In this role, you will:
- Review variance and trend analyses tasks or initiatives that require planning, evaluation, and interpretation
- Support operational aspects of work including maintaining financial data, validating accuracy, preparing and analyzing operations and reporting
- Prioritize work and provide day-to-day-work leadership and mentorship to Finance team
- Contribute to implementation of new or revised processes and procedures that require coordination among various teams
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Providing meaningful assessments of control issues impacting financial, risk, and regulatory reporting control environment;
- Monitoring new and emerging internal control related guidance and issues and assist with facilitating group-wide training to interested and impacted stakeholders;
- Providing consultation and subject matter expertise for process and control related matters including evaluating severity of control deficiencies and related remediation efforts also known as COSO assessments;
- Providing support on Data Quality issues reported on COSO issues and recommending feasible suggestions on the tools or applications,
Essential Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics, reporting or business audit; or a B.Com/BA degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, or Business and 2+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics, reporting or business audit
- Experience in Finance, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Responsibilities:
- Ability to work with work with multiple functions and strategies within Finance, Accounting, Regulatory, Risk, Operations and also will be involved in multiple strategic initiatives across the organization in parallel with all the below daily responsibilities and requirements
- Ability to assist the team in issue assessment based on COSO Policy
- Ability to Prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with critical deadlines
- Ability to draw conclusions, and communicate recommendations to business leaders
- Ability to present and communicate effectively
- Ability to use MS-Office Suite effectively
Desired Qualifications:
- A B.Com/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting
- Ability to successfully operate in a complex and matrixed environment

Other Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following areas: Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems
- Minimum one year in audit and/or SoX advisory/consulting service
- Practical experience with continuous process improvement/re-engineering of processes and results
- Strong critical thinking skills with ability to credibly challenge status quo
- Strong relationship management skills; ability to negotiate difficult positions without harming relationships
- Experience integrating off-shore and/or third party resources
- Experience driving change in peer-size organizations; champion of change
