Senior Risk Analytics Consultant – Auto Lending Risk

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Risk Analytics Consultant for the Consumer Lending line of business within the Corporate Risk group and focused on auto lending risk.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives delivering insight and decision strategies within analytics and reporting, and contribute to large-scale planning related to Risk Analytics.
  • Review and analyze moderately complex data aggregation, forecasting, reporting, and programming models.
  • Be responsible for process production, data reconciliation, and model documentation in alignment with policy governance.
  • Resolve data, production, business modeling, and lead team to meet Risk Analytics deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of risk reporting policies, modeling strategies, procedures, regulatory requests, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, experienced managers, compliance, and technology to resolve modeling, forecasting, and production issues, and achieve analytic and reporting goals.
  • Lead projects, teams, and mentor less experienced staff.
  • Partner with cross enterprise risk analysts in development of common modeling strategies.

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 4+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with forecasting delinquency and loss forecasting for a lead U.S. consumer lending institution.
  • Working knowledge and proven experience in exploratory data analysis and process flow design and optimization.
  • Excellent stakeholder management with experience in developing partnerships and collaborating with business and functional areas and working horizontally across an organization.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience communicating and presenting complex information to multiple levels of an organization.
  • Experience in gathering, analyzing and interpreting large datasets.
  • Advanced knowledge in MS-Excel, Tableau, SAS, SQL, R or Python.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline.

  • Willingness to comply with our hybrid work model; working from a Wells Fargo facility at least three days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely two days a week.
