About the role

The Consumer Credit team is responsible for leading, developing and implementing strategic initiatives and processes to drive the company credit culture, appetite, and business performance. The team is seeking a talented and experienced Risk Consultant to be part of the Unsecured Lending Credit Risk team.

Role Responsibilities


We are looking for an experienced Risk consultant for the Consumer Credit Risk team. Responsibilities for this position will include, but not be limited to, the following: 

  • Design and Develop effective & efficient credit risk business rule solutions using rules, rulesets, tables, matrices and scorecard objects
  • Support project management methodologies in the software development lifecycle through the review and sign-off on project documentation
  • Provide research and problem resolution in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Analytical background demonstrated success reporting on and turning data into actionable information
  • Familiarity with a credit underwriting or database marketing environment
  • Familiarity with US credit bureau data and attributes from Experian, Equifax and TransUnion
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills Clear, accurate, and audience-appropriate
  • Nimble, able to change direction relative to shifting priorities and business needs
  • Expertize in FICO Blaze/FICO OM/Provenir/Empower(by BKFS)/Zoot/Power Curve or other application processing and decisioning platforms
  • Maintain timely, consistent and professional communications, model a collaborative, communicative and positive work approach
  • Leverage your knowledge of and dependencies between the decisioning systems, source data providers,  business processes, and lending products platforms


Required Qualifications:

  • Overall experience of around 5+ years in similar role with at least 3 years of unsecured lending experience in credit underwriting decision system testing or in similar role 
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied mathematics, statistics, engineering, finance, economics, econometrics, or computer sciences
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proven working knowledge using an automated decisioning system such as ZOOT WebRules, Blaze, ACAPS, JRules or iLog, or other application processing and decisioning platforms (e.g. Provenir, Triad, Probe, Transact)
  • in credit underwriting decision system testing or in similar role  Experience with US credit bureau data from Experian, Equifax and TransUnion
  • Expertise in performing end to end development task(requirement analysis, story pointing, Creating data and interacting with stake-holder in case of any issue)
  • Experience in delivering projects involving Agile methodology and knowledge of JIRA tool
  • Good understanding of data management techniques and experience working with large databases and querying tools 
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas
  • Experience determining root cause analysis and change management processes

Desired Qualifications: 

  • A credit risk management analyst with at least 5 years of increasing responsibility within consumer lending
  • Advanced degree in Statistics/Finance/Engineering/other quantitative disciplines
  • Understanding of bank regulatory data sets and other industry data sources
  • Expertize in FICO Blaze/FICO OM/Provenir/Empower(by BKFS)/Zoot/Power Curve or other application processing and decisioning platforms
  • Demonstrated excellence at developing sound credit processes and enhancing existing processes
