We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to become a valuable member of our Back Office team. In this role, you will provide crucial support to our Supply Chain Finance line of business and Treasury desk. From managing the settlement of transactions to implementing and maintaining essential controls, your contributions will be pivotal.

To excel in this role, we seek candidates with a strong background in back-office operations, specifically in the settlement of Supply Chain Finance and Treasury transactions. Proficiency in financial systems, including Flexcube, and a solid grasp of accounting principles will be essential. In this role you will:

  • Supervise the team BAU activities which includes;

    • Managing all client cash funding ensuring they are in line with the agreed contract amount

    • Effect all necessary payments, paying particular attention to individual currency cutoff times

    • Confirm and instruct any new CDs with the banks issuing and payment agent

  • Create, input/verify Flexcube transactions/accounting journals as required  

  • Generate manual journal entries to subsystem and general ledger when required

  • Assist in the resolution of Nostro reconciliation breaks and subsequent case Investigation

  • Effect all non-system generated payments, as required

  • Complete monthly statistic reports and provide to management at the start of each month

  • Complete all month end tasks in relation to statements, reconciliation, reporting

  • Support the Team Manager with BAU, change initiatives and adhoc asks

  • Support audit reviews, namely EBCE, IT&V, COSO, IA and external audit

  • Lead process walkthroughs when required

  • Point of contact in the absence of the team manager

  • Lead trainer for the team

Required Qualifications:
Experience in Operations, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Extensive Operations experience

  • Supervisory experience beneficial

  • Operating with a risk mindset

  • Payments/SWIFT knowledge & experience is essential

  • Experience supporting a Treasury desk an advantage

  • A good track record of experience in a similar operations role

  • Knowledge of transactional accounting will be considered an advantage

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, including work, excel, Visio

  • Ability to work under pressure and priorities workload

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Good analytical and problem solving skills

  • Good presentation skills

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment

  • Teamwork, organisational skills and ability to prioritise

  • Proactive and self-motivated, eye for detail
