Senior Lead Human Resources Business Partner - Public Affairs

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Human Resources Business Partner for Public Affairs, supporting key functional areas including Communications, Public Policy, Sustainability, and Philanthropy, among others.

This is a highly visible, and strategic opportunity to support a critical line of business with implementing comprehensive and complex human capital initiatives. In partnership with members of Public Affairs Leadership, this Senior Lead Human Resources Business Partner will ensure application of Human Resources programs and initiatives to meet the objectives of the enterprise and maintain strong customer, employee, stakeholder and regulatory satisfaction.

In this role, you will:

  • Perform as an advisor within Human Resources Business Partner functional area to members of Public Affairs senior leadership to develop and/or influence objectives, resources, and long-term goals for highly complex business and technical needs across the organization

  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple disciplines within Human Resources, as well as other functional areas of the enterprise such as Legal, Risk, and Finance

  • Deliver relevant solutions that are long-term, large-scale, and which require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking, and coordination of highly complex activities and guidance to others

  • Provide vision, direction, and expertise within Human Resources Business Partner functional area to senior leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions that are large-scale, cross-functional, or companywide

  • Establish Human Capital solutions that balance priorities of Wells Fargo's business objectives, while maintaining a focus on brand strategy, community impact and philanthropic efforts.

  • Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers and serve as an expert advisor within Human Resources Business Partner functional area to leadership


Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Human Resources Business Partner experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of  experience in Human Resources disciplines, specifically supporting strategic and tactical initiatives in a global organization.

  • Ability to effectively partner and influence at the executive level

  • Demonstrated experience in a large, multi-national financial services or banking organization

  • Experience working with subject matter experts within multiple human resources disciplines such as talent development, talent management, compensation, talent acquisition, performance management, diversity, equity and inclusion and employee relations

  • Knowledge and understanding of organizational design and efficiency models

  • Ability to develop and execute business vision, strategies and goals

  • Ability to assess issues, make quick decisions, implement solutions and influence change

  • Ability to strategically analyze data and diagnose opportunities and interventions

  • Strong project management skills

  • Diversity and inclusion consulting experience

  • Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of employees and management

  • Successful demonstration of establishment of cross-functional teams, especially in delegation of duties and tasks to non-direct reports for completion of common goals and objectives

  • Experience creating and executing human capital plans that align with business objectives

  • Change leadership experience

  • Experience providing executive coaching to senior leaders

  • Demonstrated experience in providing outstanding HR client support as a trusted, business-focused, results-oriented leader

  • Excellent consulting, influencing, and partnering abilities with business executives and HR partners

  • Relevant and recent experience in a large corporate, multi-business HR or line organization

  • Experience with developing and consulting on succession planning, recognition, team member engagement and retention strategies

  • Professional presentation skills

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

  • Position offers a hybrid work schedule; ability to be on-site in one of the available locations listed below

Pay Range

$126,400.00 - $287,600.00
