Commercial Banking Client Coverage Senior Control Management Specialist

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Control Management Specialist within Commercial Banking aligned to the Client Coverage line of business.  This business aligned specialist will partner with other business control specialist and officers to support key control functions, specifically Issue Management, Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), and Control Management.


In this role, you will:

  • Support control officers with the execution of RCSA, including capturing notes and providing status reporting, tracking and following up of outstanding actions and deliverables, documentation of identified risks and controls (inclusive of SNOW data entry)

  • Support control officers to maintain control inventory, including the processing of Change Requests (CRs), Control Sharing Agreements, and resolving data hygiene requests.

  • Support control officers in the design and uplift of controls, including consulting with the business to draft control procedures.

  • Support control officers in the management of issues, including Corrective Action (CA) design and sustainability testing, monitoring of progress throughout the Issue Management Lifecycle, and ensuring System of Record (SOR) remains up to date.


Required Qualifications, US:

  • 4+ years of Risk Management or Control Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • Foundational knowledge of the RCSA with experience in direct execution or control testing.


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Wells Fargo Risk Framework as well as risk and control programs including; Issue Management, Risk and Control Self-Assessment and Enterprise Risk Identification & Assessment

  • Experience with process and control design

  • Experience with the relevant systems of record: Veritas, SHRP and SNOW

  • Experience with Commercial Banking Client Coverage, including regulatory requirements, products, services and key risks

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently and on multiple initiatives concurrently.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management and staff

  • Experience with data, analysis and metrics reporting
