About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Control Management Specialist.

In this role, you will:

  • Participate in identifying, assessing, managing, and mitigating current and emerging risk exposures within Control Management functional area
  • Provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies, business processes, and business controls
  • Monitor moderately complex business specific programs and provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies
  • Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report on the impact of decisions and controls to the relevant business group or functional area
  • Provide guidance to business groups on the development, implementation, and monitoring of business specific programs to identify, assess, and mitigate risk
  • Collaborate with relevant business group to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations

Desired Qualifications:

  • Develops and implements risk monitoring and risk reporting processes that align with the Issues Management Program. Aggregates the results of its monitoring efforts (as part of its self-assurance activities reporting routines), evaluates findings, reports on results and escalates where necessary.
  • Designs and executes a control effectiveness assurance program for Front Line-owned controls.
  • Should possess good problem solving and decision making skills and be able to propose solution to the situation presented.
  • Must have strong time management skills and the demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Partners with onshore and offshore team members to execute reporting protocols for comprehensive, timely, and accurate reporting to stakeholders.
  • Has expertise in treasury, risk stress testing, control management, Issue management, and risk management such as liquidity risk.
  • Understands the treasury process with the industry best practices, is able to identify control gaps in the process and recommend controls to mitigate any risks.
  • Provides Issues Management support across the Enterprise Functions including:
    • Issue Management updates & data management; quality control / assurance; escalation & issue risk acceptance;
    • integration among IM and other related programs as identified;
    • IM reporting & trend analysis; and selected strategic & tactical activities focused on improving IM effectiveness.
    • Ensure policy requirements are met, and partners with the analytics team to perform program reporting for Control, business, and senior leadership.
    • Goes above and beyond policy requirements and continually improve insight into the issue population.

Job Expectations

  • Meaningful knowledge of the risk management framework, including risk identification, risk appetite and strategy, risk-related decisions, processes and controls, risk analytics and governance.
  • End to end management of Issues Management Lifecycle, tools and systems
  • Experience with RCSA (Risk and Control Self Assessment)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in Stakeholder Management
