Network Engineering Manager

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking Network Engineering Manager in technology as part of Technology Infrastructure.

The Application Hosting - Secure Network Services (SNS) product provides foundational network infrastructure leveraged by Technology Infrastructure products and platforms in the Wells Fargo Data Centers. We also provide connectivity to business partners, the public Internet and Public Cloud Providers. ​Application Hosting is transforming operations to provision network capacity at an accelerated pace through full automation, providing transparency to the consumer and the network operators throughout the lifecycle of the infrastructure.  ​You will manage an agile team of engineers and business systems consultants responsible for developing new network hosting solutions or for building capacity and managing the lifecycle of our existing data network. This position will report directly to the Technical Director - Data Center Network Implementation within Secure Network Services.


In this role, you will:

  • Manage and develop a team of Network Engineers providing Network Engineering and Support Services
  • Lead a team of engineers and analysts to analyze, optimization and re-engineer the existing internet/extranet connectivity to newer solutions in line with the overall strategy
  • Actively contribute to building next generation solutions for Network and Security Services, enhancing the current service levels
  • Effectively manage the end-to-end lifecycle of network hardware and software, including patch compliance, vulnerability management, and configuration drift management
  • Collaborate with peer technology managers to implement various initiatives in a team extension and product operating model.
  • Proactively manage risk including deliverables, operational issues through implementation of right controls and escalate where required.
  • Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent


Required Qualifications, US:

  • 4+ years of Network Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of experience in Datacenter Networking technologies, Network Virtualization, routing protocols, Internet/ extranet solutions leveraging private line or Internet-based VPN services
  • 2+ years of Leadership experience
  • 2+ years of experience managing a technical team


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in working at financial institutions supporting extranet network services for consumer banking, brokerage, investment banking and other lines of business
  • 2+ years of experience in automating various activities related to Network.
  • Experienced in Routing and Switching
  • Strong hands-on experience with Network hardware like switches, routers, WLAN devices from Industry leading equipment vendors.
  • Experience in new technologies such as cloud-based network solutions.
  • Experience with LAN, WAN, WLAN, SDWAN hardware from Cisco, Arista
  • Network Planning, Design, and Implementation
  • Experienced with project coordination
  • Proven experience in initiating and driving end to end process improvement
  • Agile methodology experience
  • Experience working in a large enterprise environment with high degree of network automation (Ansible, Python etc.)

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$111,100.00 - $237,100.00
