Technology Business Systems Consultant - Production Support

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Technology Business Systems Consultant responsible for responding to inquiries and resolve API issues that come into Gateway Support via different channels. Also, advise line of business partners and customer developers about API capabilities.


In this role, you will:

  • Evaluate moderately complex business problems and provide technical assistance in identifying automated systems and related procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements
  • Review and evaluate moderately complex technical business problems that can be resolved through internet or intranet based solutions
  • Present recommendations for resolving business problems
  • Exercise some independent judgment when developing project budgets, project plans, and schedules
  • Provide information about communication between business and technology teams
  • Work with business user groups to provide training, handle questions, observe user needs, and document results


Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Business Systems Data experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Should have Production support experience.
  • Experience with SPLUNK or any monitoring tool is mandatory.
  • Hands-on experience working with APIs is mandatory.
  • Total 2+ years of IT experience in Production Support.
  • 2+ years of client service experience working with high value customers and/or large organization
  • Knowledge on APIGEE is helpful as would an understanding of Swagger, REST APIs and JSON.
  • Experience in Agile Scrum models. Coordinate effectively with Squads/Agile Scrum teams.
  • Deliver effective impact analysis of the various business services by considering the upstream and downstream applications.
  • Good understanding on SQL.


Job Expectations:

  • Must be amenable to work in shifts
  • Answer inquiries and resolve API issues that come into Gateway Support via email, phone and forums.
  • Advise line of business partners and customer developers about API capabilities.
  • Work with documentation experts to create and revise user guides and identify areas that could be clarified and enhanced on the Gateway API developer portal.
  • Analyze server logs to investigate customer-reported issues.
  • Troubleshoot issues and create step-by-step instructions on how to reproduce the issue along with solutions.
  • Escalate issues and feature requests to the appropriate product manager(s)
  • Communicate with other teams such as production support, training, and our partner teams to ensure all issues are fully resolved.
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
  • Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management. Also, be proactive and get engaged in organizational initiatives.
