Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Operational Risk Officer
In this role, you will:
Provide companywide oversight and governance of an integrated operational risk program or initiative.
Develop and drive innovative operational risk approaches and solutions companywide through an influence model.
Identify potential business operational risks.
Develop and drive innovative operational risk approaches and solutions companywide through an influence model.
Constructively and independently challenge existing risk management fundamentals or assumptions and develop alternative approaches and solutions.
Evaluate long term implications and consequences of strategic business decisions and recommend appropriate alternatives for risk management.
Lead implementation of complex initiatives with high risk, generally spanning multiple business lines
Consult to the business on corrective action plans and effectively managing change.
Influence and negotiate with executive management and business heads as high-level stakeholders both within and outside Wells Fargo
Lead initiatives and virtual teams across the organization to deliver companywide business risk management transformations
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
Lead project or virtual teams and mentor less experienced staff.
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of Operational Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Desired Qualifications:
University master’s degree in business or related discipline.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner
Job Expectations:
The deliverables associated with this role include but not limited to:
Handling all major governance and reporting deliverables (Submissions for control councils, regional risk committees, risk governance committees, India and Philippines board packs), regulatory submissions and all internal risk reports (for IP, Control and IRM Leadership).
Play key role in planning, structuring and execution of the Org structure including preparing and driving changes to the Org chart.
Drive, monitor and govern Cost and budget
Drive Key projects for the team, support IP Governance Head for any IP led specific projects led, to ensure meaningful consolidation
Drive and support initiatives and bring them to closure
Initiate, create and drive Management risk Reviews internally and with Enterprise SM
Stay close to the risk and knowhow by building strong connect with the team
Challenge the inefficiency in the operating model by articulating challenges and risk and support the change
Manage all central activities to support the team at large
Manage space and location for the team
Act as a Business Execution advisor to leadership to drive performance and initiatives, and develop and implement information delivery or presentations to key stakeholders and senior management
Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges related to Business Execution that require solid analytical skills, extensive knowledge of Business Execution, and understanding of business, delivering longer term and large-scale solutions
Provide vision, direction, and expertise to senior leadership for implementing innovative and significant business solutions that are large scale and cross organizational
Lead team meetings or steering committee, capture the MoMs and actions accurately and qualitatively well-articulated to facilitate decision making and support implementation of recommendations and plans
Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across multiple lines of businesses and serve as an experienced advisor to the leadership
Provide direction to a cross functional team using business expertise
