Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Commercial Banking Data Quality Analyst with expertise in regulatory reporting to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in SQL, advanced excel, data quality analysis, DQ rules, Power BI, Ab Initio - Express IT, and experience in regulatory reporting, such as FR Y14. Exceptional communication and writing skills are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct data quality analysis and remediation, focusing on DQ rules and compliance with regulatory reporting requirements like FR Y14.

- Utilize SQL for data querying, manipulation, and analysis to ensure data accuracy and quality.

- Develop and implement data quality rules and strategies to maintain high-quality data standards in commercial banking operations.

- Create visually compelling reports and dashboards using Power BI for regulatory reporting and stakeholder communication.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address data quality issues and ensure regulatory compliance.

- Lead data integration initiatives using Ab Initio - Express IT for seamless data processing.

- Communicate effectively and write detailed reports for regulatory submissions and internal stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

- 6+ years of experience in Commercial Banking & Loans processing

- Overall 14+ years of experience in projects of similar nature in financial institutions

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Analytics, or a related field.

- Proven experience in Commercial Banking, data quality analysis, and regulatory reporting, including FR Y14.

- Strong proficiency in SQL for data manipulation, analysis, and DQ rules implementation.

- Experience with data quality analysis and remediation techniques in a regulatory environment.

- Proficiency in Power BI for data visualization, reporting, and regulatory compliance.

- Excellent communication and writing skills for effective stakeholder engagement and regulatory reporting.

- Ability to interpret and apply regulatory guidelines to data quality processes in commercial banking.

- Regulatory compliance: Understanding of banking regulations and compliance requirements to ensure data controls meet legal standards.

 - Experience with extensive data analysis/ review and mapping /transforming data for regulatory reporting schedules like FRY 14 Q – Schedule H1/H2, FR-Y9C, Basel III.

 - Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP’s, Macros etc.) and dexterity with large data sets

 - Experience in various Analytics methodologies and platforms

 - Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills with ability to turn findings into strategic imperatives

  - Possesses executive presence, high energy, ability to manage complexity and a broad scope of daily work activities and stakeholders.

Desired Qualifications:

- Certification in SQL, Power BI, Ab Initio, Advanced Excel, or related data tools.

- Experience with other regulatory reporting frameworks and compliance practices.

- Knowledge of industry best practices for data quality management and regulatory reporting.

 - Experience with Ab Initio – Express IT for writing DQ rules, data integration and processing.

 - Understanding of loan life cycle such as loan origination, underwriting, portfolio management, collateral management, loan accounting servicing.

-  Good understanding and experience working on Alteryx core features, Data Analytics automation, Data preparation capabilities, Automated workflows, Data Visualization, Data Investigating Cleansing & Reporting, Comparison, etc.
