About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Data Product Integrity Specialist.


In this role, you will:

  • Act as a data steward; lead complex data integrity and quality initiatives and reviews of business systems with broad impact, and act as a key participant in large-scale planning related to data quality improvement and business systems.
  • Review and analyze complex, multi-faceted data quality audits; research and resolve data quality issues which require an in-depth evaluation of multiple systems, data sets, and data connections.
  • Make decisions in complex situations requiring solid understanding of data quality standards and control framework; influence and lead review and remediation of data quality issues to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives.
  • Strategically collaborate and consult with the business, risk partners, and technical staff, including Enterprise Data Management and Technology functions, to lead, triage, and resolve data quality issues; serve as a mentor for peers.
  • Ensure compliance with Enterprise Data Management policies, standards, and technology, and facilitate execution of business data standards and control frameworks.
  • Understand the complete data lifecycle from data creation and capture to data processing, storage, and usage.
  • Serve as an expert on end-to-end data lineage using traditional methods and systemic tools with peers.
  • Create data quality improvement plans and set approach to monitor data quality to maximize efficiency and minimize risk.
  • Define strategies and identify critical data elements and data quality rules to effectively govern data within the business.
  • Consult with and provide recommendations to senior management regarding assessments of the current state of data and metadata quality within area of assigned responsibility.


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of data quality or data management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.


Desired Qualifications:

  • IT experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
  • Experience in SQL.
  • Experience in Python.
  • Agile methodology experience, JIRA or Rally , Sprint, Ceremonies, Agile Reporting, Kanban Boards.
  • Experience in one or more of the following functional areas: large enterprise platforms and complex Data Quality Rules implementations, business technology solutions, with a clear track record of building innovative, customer-facing capabilities.
  • Project Management experience, stakeholder management, Communication
  • Experience leading large-scale initiatives.
  • Understand concepts of Cloud (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud), Data Lake, Apache Tools
  • Has experience working on tools such as MS SQL, coding skills, Tableau or any Reporting Tool, GIT HUB.
  • Demonstrated experienced with data governance standards.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytic background, understands AI ML.
  • Banking or Finance issue management experience.
  • Proven ability to engage and work with technology partners.
  • MBA qualification.


Job Expectations:

  • Lead the strategy and delivery of solutions of highly complex nature and unique challenges requiring full understanding of impacts and comprehensive stakeholder engagement.
  • Deliver solutions that are long-term, large scale and require planning and progression, effective communication, and ongoing risk assessment.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of complex SQL queries that can be used for sifting through millions of records to identify Customer Data in Teradata or MS SQL Databases. Is good with Data and Analysis of data.
  • Has good understanding of Quality process and Agile methodologies.
  • Can lead guide and mentor a team of Senior and junior integrity specialist who are experts in Teradata, SQL and with strong Database skills.
  • Work in a highly matrixed organization with the Product Owner, Product Analyst, Scrum Master, management and analyst support, and with subject matter experts across the organization.
  • Help resolve product related issues and defect management.
  • Work with stakeholders from across multiple Wells Fargo lines of businesses and functions to manage the product backlog and user stories.
  • Analyze the data in HOGAN CIS and other System of Records (SOR) and System of Origin (SOO) to understand the differences and identify the source of issue. Highlight quality issues in data between various Systems using SQL, python and Teradata.
  • Act as key participant in large-scale Data Quality checks, Compare process and Dashboarding as needed.  Has worked on Testing of Products and Quality Assurance activities.
  • Review and analyze Data patterns in HOGAN mainframe landscape to identify Quality Rules and review Rule Breaks for accuracy and is familiar with Data Profiling of tables in a DB.
