Data Management Manager – Data Risk & Controls Framework Enablement

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Data Management Manager for the Enterprise Data Controls Management team, part of the Enterprise Data Management (EDM ) within Data Management & Insights (DMI) . This position will be responsible for the Data Risk & Controls framework, for driving awareness on the Control framework with all stakeholders, and for driving successful implementation of the framework in support of Data Management Policy & Procedure requirements.

In this role, you will:

  • Assume ownership of Data Risk & Controls framework, and be responsible for maintaining, enhancing and monitoring implementation of framework in partnership with Enterprise Data Governance and Control management team(s).
  • Provide oversight and management for successful rollout and effective implementation of Data Risk & Control framework.
  • Develop, maintain and enhance guidance on Data Controls framework execution in alignment with DM policy & procedures
  • Manage communication of framework with internal/external stakeholders
  • Provide leadership to develop effective training materials, playbook(s), and other how-to documents to drive awareness on the new framework
  • Drive closure of the open Audit Issues or Corrective Actions related to Data Controls framework, and procedures
  • Engage with leadership to provide updates, and to manage escalations
  • Lead a team of data management analysts, drive performance excellence and support through coaching and mentoring

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 4+ years of Data Management, Business Research, Analytics, Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 2+ years of Leadership experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in Data Risk & Controls management
  • Familiarity with Wells Fargo Risk Management framework
  • Experience with Wells Fargo Risk Controls Self Assessment (RCSA) process
  • Experience with managing Change initiatives
  • Experience in delivering trainings through powerful content

Job Expectations: 

  • Work from Office 3 days a week with 2 days remote work from home 
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
