Engineer Enablement Product(s) Owner

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking Product owners for CTO’s newly formed Engineering Enablement organization. We are looking for top product owner talent to help drive Wells Fargo’s technology vision to elevate developer & engineering experiences by providing predictable, prioritized, yet prescriptive services for the firm. These positions will serve as experts to help develop strategy, roadmap and execution across key priorities including – next generation development/engineering Frameworks (Orchestra), Next generation of enterprise pipeline, developer workspaces, secure development software products, test engineering and Site Reliability engineering functions for the firm. In this role you will be reporting into one of the Sr. Product Leaders for the Engineering Enablement product line, while working with various other product teams and product areas across the firm.


In this role, you will:

  • Act as an advisor to senior leadership to develop or influence products, initiatives, plans, specifications, resources, and long-term goals for highly complex business and technical needs across a functional area within the Digital environment
  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise
  • Deliver solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking
  • Coordinate highly complex activities and guidance to others
  • Provide vision, direction and expertise to senior leadership on implementing innovative and significant digital business plans, programs and initiatives which have significant impact
  • Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise
  • Serve as an expert advisor to leadership


Required Qualifications, US:

  • 7+ years of digital product management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 5+ years of experience of working in Agile feature teams with engineers, developers etc.
  • 3+ years of business case, finance & forecast management experience.
  • Knowledge of end-to-end DevSecOps, Secure SDLC processes with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience of reducing friction in developer lifecycle through rapid onboarding – e.g. provisioning , bootstrapping developer IDE (Integrated Development environment) such as IntelliJ, Eclipse, VSCode etc. and plugins for large scale enterprise.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD technologies such as Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory, Sonar etc.
  • Knowledge in public and hybrid cloud infrastructure

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Agile practices and frameworks (e.g., Kanban, Scrum, etc.) and workflow and collaboration tools, such as Confluence, Jira and Jira Align
  • Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, at all levels of the organization, including senior executive-level leadership
  • Ability to influence and lead organizational change in a dynamic environment
  • Experience working with and leading delivery teams globally
  • Strong risk management leadership skills
  • Strong dependency management skills
  • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and facilitating discussions to explore the best possible solutions and possess the ability to lead
  • Ability to consult with business partners to define key performance metrics, dashboards, or scorecards
  • Secure SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) methodologies experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of Information Technology governance risk and compliance processes such as policies, control standards, risk management concepts, etc
  • Understanding and appreciation of Developer Ecosystem – application aware platforms,  development and providing self-service capabilities for enterprise scale developers to bootstrap the developer environment in near real-time
  • Knowledge of products that drive developer productivity/solutions (e.g. Github Codespace, Eclipse Che etc.)
