AI/ML CoE Employee Experience & Collaboration Lead

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Execution Consultant to lead employee experience and collaboration for current and future Data Scientists, Data Engineers and Analytic SMEs within the Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning Center of Excellence (AI/ML CoE).

The AI/ML CoE is a diverse team of industry experts who provide AI/NLP model development and support the Enterprise AI/ML/NLP Platform.  This position reports to the AI/ML CoE’s Strategy and Governance Team, which provides strategic leadership, streamlined processes, and effective controls to enable impactful AI solutions and data insights.

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as the Employee Experience lead for the AI/ML CoE
  • Lead cross functional teams to strategize, plan, and execute a variety of programs, services and initiatives
  • Partner with enterprise analytic development programs to hire university graduates/students in associate and intern positions within the COE
  • Partner with HR to manage recruitment and hiring initiatives for the COE including employee sponsorship when applicable
  • ​Conduct resource forecasting and planning exercises. Ensure AI/ML COE is effectively staffed to meet demand for services
  • Manage CoE people metrics including headcount, hiring and attrition
  • Foster a knowledge sharing culture by advocating consistent use of Collaboration Tools (JIRA, Teams, Confluence, SharePoint)
  • Develop COE collateral to tell the story of the AI/ML CoE to key partners and perspective employees
  • Proactively suggest and implement new programs and ideas to improve employee experience
  • Drive accountability for assigned initiatives, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate
  • Perform assessments through fact finding and data requiring creative approaches to solving complex issues, and develop appropriate solutions or recommendations
  • Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of business group's functional area or products, facilitate decision making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans
  • Partner with teams across DMI (US and India) to align on hiring and employee experience initiatives
  • Influence, guide and lead less experienced staff
  • Foster a strong culture of innovation, collaboration and employee development within the AI/ML COE
  • Develop strong relationships with Data Science Managers, Data Scientists and HR partners to achieve hiring objectives
  • Lead internal routines/meetings and develop communications to share information with CoE Employees


Required Qualifications, US:

  • 5+ years of Management Consulting, Strategy Consulting, or Business Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • 1+ Year of Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning or Analytic Experience
  • Experience creating/delivering/managing operational metrics, KPIs or OKRs
  • Interest in AI, Data Science and Analytics
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal) with ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience (technical engineers and data scientists to executives)
  • Strong facilitation skills including ability to lead, present, and obtain buy in from large stakeholder groups spanning staff through senior and executive management
  • Virtual leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results, provide feedback/direction, and manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment
  • Excellent Relationship management experience with business, HR and technology partners across multiple business groups
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams, Confluence, JIRA and SharePoint

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
