Internal Audit conducts audits and reports the results of our work to the Audit & Examinations Committee of the Board of Directors. We provide independent, objective assurance and consulting services delivered through a highly competent and diverse team. As a business partner, Audit helps the Company accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.

The Audit Practices Innovation team, led by an Audit Director, is responsible for driving innovation across Internal Audit including building continuous assurance solutions, reporting/visualizations, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and advanced analytics. The team is focused on transforming Internal Audit through these primary solution types.

The Innovation team has an opening for a Senior Lead Analytics Consultant (AC). The Senior Lead AC will be a member of the Line of Business (LOB) Innovation team and be responsible for driving innovation in audit execution. To be successful in this role, the candidate will need to have strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of the audit lifecycle, and an advanced technical skillset. This position will be responsible for several areas: 1) development of new solutions; 2) mentoring other team members; and 3) maintaining a pipeline of new ideas for innovation. This position will manage the entire analytic development lifecycle from ideation through deployment, including full documentation, and support solutions deployed to the production environment. We are looking for a candidate with the proven ability to utilize data analysis methodologies and tools to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the audit process. This will require partnering with internal auditors and senior audit management to identify opportunities and deliver solutions. These solutions will be focused on continuous audit programs (CAPs), continuous control assessments (CCAs), continuous auditing tests (CATs), and automating manual processes. Success for this role will be evaluated by several metrics: integration rate (target 100% of audits utilizing an innovation solution); broadening coverage (target 70% percent of controls tested are full population tests); and creating solutions to assist in issue validations. Our team primarily delivers solutions by utilizing SQL, Tableau, and Tableau Prep. Other software that is used to support our development lifecycle includes Confluence (for BRDs and task management), JIRA (for ticketing), and GitHub (for code repository).


In this role, you will:

  • Lead data-specific audit projects, primarily utilizing Tableau and SQL to create analytic solutions supporting the auditing process
  • Act as a thought partner and mentor for team members by providing comprehensive feedback to develop their knowledge in key areas including Tableau, SQL, data analytics, and audit
  • Build continuous control assessments (CCAs), continuous auditing tests (CATs), and automate solutions
  • Navigate within technology environments to locate, validate, and format data for control testing
  • Develop extract, transform and load (ETL) processes to ensure analytical solutions are automated with complete and accurate data
  • Have strong relationship management, influencing, organizational, and execution skills; communicate effectively and ensure that all deliverables are met
  • Partner with key stakeholders to ensure development priorities are in alignment with audience needs, feedback is incorporated into existing solutions, and all needs are met and/or requirements are documented for future development
  • Develop data-driven analytics capabilities to identify anomalies, outliers, emerging trends, and risks
  • Be an excellent project manager utilizing Atlassian suite of products (Confluence, JIRA, etc.)
  • Be a critical thinker with an innovative mindset, coupled with a track record for creating solutions that are efficient, effective, essential, and delivered on-time
  • Be capable of initiating action and managing change in a fast paced environment


Required Qualifications, US:

  • 7+ years of Analytics and Reporting, Financial Modeling, Statistics, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 5+ years of SQL experience in Oracle, Teradata and/or SQL Server.
  • 3+ years of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) programming experience
  • 2+ years of Tableau experience.


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience conducting peer reviews of technical solutions and quality review of Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and Technical Development Documents (TDDs) for Analytic Solutions
  • 3+ years of audit, audit process, and audit plan management experience
  • 1+ years of Tableau Prep experience
  • Knowledge of financial crimes, wealth and investment management, and/or consuming lending data
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills with ability to turn findings into strategic imperatives
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
  • Ability to provide leadership by coaching, training, and mentoring
  • Ability to develop operational reporting and perform complex data analysis
  • Ability to lead projects/initiatives with high risk and complexity
  • Being flexible to add projects or shift priorities readily and efficiently

Pay Range

$96,600.00 - $171,800.00 Annual
