Technology Infrastructure (TI) is leading technology transformation in a multi-cloud technology ecosystem delivering products and innovative solutions at scale that are stable, secure, and always on. The Cloud Automation & Integration Services (CAIS) team is part of the Enterprise Technology Infrastructure group which is responsible for all aspects of the enterprise infrastructure and various applications. CAIS is responsible for the architecture, engineering, development and oversight of new and existing applications for enterprise monitoring and systems management.
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Infrastructure Engineer who will be part of a technology led innovation at an enterprise scale to maintain Infrastructure though tools like Ansible, Terraform or Chef in applications or platforms in private and public cloud. Our vision is to deliver Infrastructure As Code (IAC) capabilities to customers for consumer grade insight at competitive price utilizing open source and open standards, while modernizing to reduce cost of failure, improve availability, and optimize software engineering capacity.
In this role, you will:
- Lead complex initiatives to develop infrastructure to provide solutions for business applications.
- Participate in various projects intended to continually improve or upgrade the infrastructure.
- Evaluate internal and external software solutions which could be leveraged to meet target state architecture goals.
- Review and analyze high impact outages to ensure the proper processes and procedures are in place to avoid problems in the future.
- Design, build, deploy and maintain infrastructure solutions through collaborative efforts with the team and third-party vendors.
- Design, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practices.
- Make decisions in technical designs, implementation plans and identify project risks and resource requirements.
- Direct the daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures and work standards to ensure success.
- Recommend courses of action to maintain cost effectiveness and achieve results.
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
- Interact with customer and vendor.
Required skills:
- 10+ years of experience in IAC tools (Ansible, Terraform or Chef). Flexibility in working in any tool based on the organization roadmap
- Experience in working in private or public cloud environments.
- Experience in DevSecOps process and implementation of Jenkins/CICD tools & overview of Infrastructure As Code concepts
- Experience in python code for custom module development.
- Experience in developing dashboards in Grafana and monitoring tools like Prometheus.
- Experience in working in large complex environments, debug issues and drive to resolution.
- Should be comfortable to work in flexible shifts and available during crises situations.
- Excellent communication skills and working together as a team for task completion.

- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to influence and build relationships with other engineering and product peers, external service providers, and architecture teams
- Knowledge of agile methodologies, product operating model and exposure to scrum working environment and iteration models.
- Knowledge and understanding of application or software security such as: web application penetration testing, secure code review, secure static code analysis, separation of duties
- Knowledge and understanding of technology architecture: solutions development
