About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Control Management Officer to be part of our growing team in Business Control Management supporting our Commercial Banking Business group.
In this role, you will:
- Lead complex initiatives designed to mitigate current and emerging risks with broad impact.
- Act as key participant in monitoring, evaluating, and measuring the impact of decisions practiced in Control Management functional area.
- Monitor moderately complex business specific programs, and provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk-mitigation strategies.
- Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report on the impact of decisions and controls to the relevant business group or functional area.
- Develop and implement risk monitoring and risk reporting processes and controls.
- Collaborate with relevant business group to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations, and provide guidance in developing and implementing risk-mitigating strategies.
- Lead Control Management project or virtual teams
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Risk Management or Control Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Desired Qualifications:
- 5-10 years’ experience in Risk & Control Management or 13+ years’ Financial Services industry, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, education.
- Should have sound understanding of risk management principles.
- Good understanding and experience with respect to Commercial Banking especially focused in one of the areas such as Loan processing and management, collateral management, Agency Services, Equipment and Distributor Finance operations, Trust Finance and Capital Finance. MMB- Portfolio Monitoring and Support, Credit Underwriting, and Treasury Management.
- Candidate is expected to have strong written and oral communication skills.
- Sound knowledge of MS Office especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience in project management
- Certification in Risk Management such as ORM/FRM
Job Expectations:
- Support RCSA related efforts to collect, document and assess business risk and controls across the business units / multiple RAUs.
- Support RCSA reporting and research such as controls, MCRs, risks across busine to gather informative data prior to RCSA workshop engagements.
- Track and update Change Requests, Business Environment Change
- Document business owned controls or shared controls that mitigate business specific risk instances.
- Support reporting, timelines and routines for all RCSA, Operational risk events, governance and management reporting’s.
- Follow issue management protocols by documenting and assessing control weaknesses and operational risk incidents using methods such as root cause analysis, complete pre-vetting forms.
- Understand and analyze the processes to identify risks and controls in the processes prepare and publish reports to stakeholders.
