Senior Software Engineer (ETL Product Management)

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer.

The successful candidate will be a technical resource and will actively participate in an elite team supporting enterprise ETL Services.

This must be done by going beyond simple management of capacity and scheduling, to include fostering a culture of efficiency in a multi-tenant environment, supported by tooling which both enforces data security and delivers better speed-to-market for the business.

The team:

  • Consults on Application Design

  • Supports Application Build and Release Tooling

  • Supports Platform Metric-capturing tooling

  • Supports Application Efficiency and Security Reporting

  • Drives Application Efficiency and Security Remediation

  • Provides Developer Education and Support


In this role, you will:

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments

  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies

  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments

  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures

  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals

  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Software Administration experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.


Desired Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience with Ab Initio

  • 2+ years of experience with Talend

  • 2+ years of user support

  • 2+ years of experience with databases such as Oracle, DB2, SQL server, or Teradata

  • 3+ years of advanced scripting experience using Unix Shell Scripting, Perl, Python, Java, or PL-SQL

  • 1+ years of experience with MS Access, PowerBI, and/or Tableau


Job Expectations:

  • Job includes production support responsibilities that may include periods of scheduled on-call that may include off-hours support responsibilities.
