About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Analytics Consultant to support its Commercial Mortgage Servicing (CMS) division. The Analytic Consultant within CMS will be responsible for monthly reporting to investors on assigned Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS) pools using Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Finance Council’s Investor Reporting Package (CREFC IRP) standards. In this role, you will:

  • Calculating remittances accurately under strict deadlines per the applicable servicing agreement

  • Determination and non-recoverability analysis of principal and interest advances on delinquent loans for assigned transactions

  • Analysis and resolution of loan accounting and reporting issues/discrepancies

  • Maintaining loan servicing, accounting, and investor reporting systems

  • Assuring compliance with contractual obligations regarding reporting, fund transfers, and investor accounting

  • Conducting in-depth research and variance analysis of data

  • Understand compliance and risk management requirements for CMS

There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of CREF-C reporting standards

  • Knowledge and understanding of CMBS

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Knowledge and experience in servicing of commercial loans including CRE loan structures and accounting

  • Strategy loan servicing system experience

  • Ability to interpret and understand loan documents and servicing agreements

  • Prior investor reporting experience with emphasis in commercial mortgages

  • Demonstrate ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively while meeting tight deadlines with accuracy and minimal supervision

  • Self-starter and motivated individual who can work both independently and in a challenging, team-oriented work environment

  • Proven track record of problem-solving and process improvement

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills

  • Real estate management or property management experience

  • Real estate underwriting experience

  • A BS/BA degree or higher
