In this role, you will:
- Provide oversight and monitoring of business group risk based compliance programs
- Maintain compliance risk expertise and consulting for projects and initiatives with moderate to high risk, over multiple business lines
- Establish, implement and maintain risk standards and programs to drive compliance with federal, state, agency, legal and regulatory and Corporate Policy requirements
- Oversee the Front Line's execution and challenges appropriately on compliance related decisions
- Develop, oversee, and provide independent credible challenge to standards with subject matter expertise
- Provide direction to the business on developing corrective action plans and effectively managing regulatory change
- Report findings and make recommendations to management and appropriate committees
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development
- Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Monitor the reporting, escalation, and timely remediation of issues, deficiencies or regulatory matters regarding compliance risk management
- Oversee the Front Line's execution and challenges appropriately on compliance related decisions
- Make decisions and resolve issues to meet business objectives
- Interpret policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Work with complex business units, rules and regulations on moderate to high risk compliance matters
- Interface with Audit, Legal, external agencies, and regulatory bodies on risk related topics
Required Qualifications, US:
- 5+ years of Compliance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of US banking products and commercial banking businesses and activities
- Strong knowledge of US banking laws, regulations, and rules especially lending (Fair Lending, UDAAP) and deposit-taking and “consumer” regulations and their applicability to commercial business activities
- Prior US banking/financial services experience
- Prior US bank Compliance experience

- Strong attention to detail, ability to synthesize multiple information sources into cohesive summaries and analyses
Role: Support the CB Compliance/Commercial Banking Regulatory Compliance function in conducting its monitoring and oversight activities as established under the Wells Fargo Compliance Program Policy. Specifically, the following program requirements and responsibilities would be in scope:
- Monitoring Activities: Data compilation and review and initial assessment
- Third Party Risk Management: Annual refresh/repeat review assessments and pipeline/workflow management
- Program Effectiveness Assessment: Administration (e.g., meeting coordination) and artifact collection and collation
- Compliance Aggregated Risk Assessment: Administration and workbook management
- Training Needs Analysis: Administration, facilitate audience determination and spreadsheet data collection
- Regulatory Change Processing: Receive reg change data from central source (e.g., PACA Alerts), assess initial potential applicability to businesses, and track BACO’s determination of reg applicability
- Personal Account Dealing/MNPI Violations: Represent Compliance in meeting with repeat offenders, and related administration
- Business Continuity Planning: Data aggregation and annual refresh initial assessments
- Marketing & Advertising Reviews: Review for conformance to specified laws and regulations
- Policy Reviews: Administration, routine annual update reviews and noncompliance reviews
- Issues Management: Administration and assigning of all CB business line issues to US based BACO teams to assess compliance impact
- RCSA Reaffirmation: Administration including comparing year over year changes and artifact gathering and review
- Other: Supporting data gathering and assessments for ad hoc informational requests from enterprise and horizontal Compliance
