About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a hands-on Lead Software Engineer who will be part of a technology led innovation at an enterprise scale to transform Telemetry, Monitoring and Observability for on-prem platforms, as well as private and public cloud.

Our vision is to deliver observability capabilities to customers for consumer grade insight at competitive price utilizing open source and open standards, while modernizing to reduce cost of failure, improve availability, and optimize software engineering capacity.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact.
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
  • Provide strategy, direction, and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommends innovations that enhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organization.
  • Ensuring availability, performance, security, and scalability.
  • Participate in release, and configuration of production systems.
  • Evaluation of new technology alternatives and vendor products.
  • Pre-production UAT testing for quality assurance.
  • Providing recommendations for architecture and process improvements

Required Qualifications:

DevOps Engineer who will be responsible to build, manage, and automate our end user and synthetic monitoring infrastructure and service offering setup along with focus on automation.

  • 5+ years of experience in Python with Data analysis, Data Import, Data Feeds and API
  • 5+ Proficiency with PowerShell scripting for automation
  • 3+ Deployment experience using Ansible.
  • 2+ years of experience with secure DevOps and deployment automation to cloud environments
  • 2+ years of experience with Cloud technologies (Docker, Azure)
  • Experience with production troubleshooting and problem resolution across various application domains and platforms.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Full stack development experience
  • Aternity End user monitoring or equivalent
  • Tableau or equivalent skills for creating dashboards.
  • Cisco Thousand Eyes or equivalent tools.
  • Exposure to Kubernetes, writing pod specs, containers, and deployment.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies, and product operating model
