About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Commercial Banking Syndication Support Associate based in Hong Kong to support the Commercial Banking Syndication Team.  Learn more about the career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojob.com.


In this role, you will:

  • Manage deal sites related to sell down activity (under "Syndtrak", a web platform):
  •    (i) new site openings and documents posting to potential investors
  •    (ii) agency site opening and maintenance post-closing (documents updates)
  • Assist in the signing / closing process to ensure compliance with new controls in terms of approvals, checklist preparation and documents retention
  • Assist in terms of Participating Banks KYC onboarding (new relations) and KYC Refresh (existing relations)
  • Assist in terms of Confidentiality Agreements execution, storage and monitoring
  • Provide regular status updates to Reporting Manager
  • Interact with internal and external customers
  • Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing middle office practices to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements


Job Expectations:

  • Direct Reporting to the Head of Commercial Banking non F.I. Trade Assets Syndication
  • In coordination with the Reporting Manager, develop a critical new function for Middle Office support to the Syndication Team for non F.I Trade Assets, resulting in
  • (i) a better service to participating banks through a better use of "Syndtrak", and
  •  (ii) an improved governance in terms of implementing new controls

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of internal / external Client Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 5+ years working experience at large international commercial bank, with relevancy in terms of administrative tasks execution & multi-tasking and engagement with executive
  • Capacity to communicate clearly to internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives, in a highly multi-cultural environment with multiple locations
  • Proficiency in Mandarin would be an advantage
