About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of overall industry experience in Data Engineering & BI
  • Hands on experience in SQL Server 2017, 2019 versions
  • Strong hands-on experience on DB programming using stored procedures, functions, triggers, table variables, sequences, SQL profiler, analyzer etc.
  • Expertise in designing, developing, testing, deploying and troubleshooting following
    • Complex SSIS packages used for ETL for various data sources
    • Complex SSRS reports having sub-reports with multiple data sources
  • POWER BI - Expert in creating Power BI reports using different visualizations
  • Scripting experience on Python
  • 3+ years hands-on experience in Azure data engineering with following
    • Design, develop, deploy and maintain data processing systems and data pipelines within the Azure cloud environment.
    • Proficiency in working with large datasets and variety of data sources to ensure that data is ingested, transformed and stored correctly.
    • Ease in working with tools i.e. ADF, Synapse Analytics, Databricks etc.
  • Experience in strategizing & carrying out performance testing of multistage transfer/transformation of large & heterogenous data sets from various data sources to single/multiple data destinations
  • Experience in automated testing of SSIS/Power BI reports using any Test automation tool
  • Experience in Agile development methodology
  • Comfortable interacting with stakeholders at all levels throughout the business

Job Expectations:

  • Any experience on consuming REST APIs for data processing
  • Knowledge/experience in Power Platform for Dynamics 365
  • DP-900: Azure Data Fundamentals
  • DP-203 Data Engineering on Microsoft Azure
