  • About this role:

    Wells Fargo is seeking a Data Management Associate. eIDF (Enterprise Instrument Data Foundation) is a data platform with integrated multi-domain data at the instrument level tied to general ledger with governance, data quality, change management and enrichment capabilities.It covers 95% of the enterprise balance sheet as well as many non-financial indicative attributes with a monthly production cycle. eIDF is a subdomain to the EDA (Enterprise Data Assets) program within Data Management & Insights and is one of four target state enabling products needed to implement the enterprise data strategy.  This role involves Techno-Functional activities revolving around Data Governance & Data Engineering in Banking Finance & Risk domain.


    In this role, you will:

  • Organize and manage complex companywide initiatives to ensure that data quality is maintained so that data can effectively support business processes.
  • Oversee analysis and reporting in support of regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and recommend analysis of data quality or integrity issues
  • Evaluate data quality metrics and data quality audits to benchmark the state of data quality
  • Make decisions in complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of data governance standards and procedures
  • Identify new data sources and develop recommendations for assessing the quality of new data
  • Lead project teams and mentor less experienced staff members
  • Recommend remediation of process or control gaps that align to management strategy
  • Serve as relationship manager for a line of business
  • Consult with and provide recommendations to senior management regarding assessments of the current state of data and metadata quality within area of assigned responsibility
  • Represent client in cross-functional groups to develop companywide data governance strategies
  • Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to coordinate and drive collaboration on solution design and remediation execution
  • Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in Data involving one or more of the following areas in Banking - Risk/Finance/Regulatory/Consumer Banking/Commercial Banking/Investments Banking.
  • Knowledge & Exposures in one or more of the following will be an added advantage: Credit & Market Risks, BASEL Norms, General Ledger, Funds Transfer Pricing, Asset-Liability Management, Regulatory Reporting
  • Data Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience.
  • Competent qualifications: Finance MBA/B-Tech/BE/ MCA
  • Desired Qualification:  
     

  • Sound in Data Analysis using SQL/Hive
  • Good experience of working in Agile Methodology
  • Good understanding of Data-warehousing Fundamentals will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in any ETL/Reporting Tool will be a plus.
  • Experience in Tableau, Power BI and other reporting / dashboard technologies is a plus.
  • Experience with data quality, using data dictionaries, lineage, data mapping and other tools in support of complex data defect research, triage, and monitoring.
  • Good Communication & Presentation Skills

  • Good stakeholder management experience
  • Traits of Ownership & ability to drive deliverables with minimal guidance.
  • Result-Oriented mindset and demonstrating traits of being thoughtful & innovative.
  • Ability to inculcate and follow good Team Dynamics/Team Hygiene
