About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Execution Consultant.

The Corporate & Investment Banking Risk (CIB Risk) group independently oversees and challenges all risk management activities within the CIB business. CIB provides corporate and transactional banking, commercial real estate lending and servicing, investment banking, and equity and fixed income solutions to clients across the globe. The CIB Risk group is responsible for enhancing the effectiveness of risk oversight and providing a comprehensive view of risks across the business, while creating streamlined independent risk management interactions with CIB leaders.

The CIB Risk Strategy, Planning & Governance (SP&G) team focuses on execution of core business operations and governance routines in support of effective risk oversight of front-line activities. The team brings industry perspectives and experience that enable consistency in CIB Risk governance and operations in- line with Corporate Risk’s vision, goals, and objectives

.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead cross functional teams to strategize, plan, and execute a variety of programs, services and initiatives.
  • Drive accountability for assigned initiatives, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate.
  • Review strategic approaches and effectiveness of support function and business performance.
  • Perform assessments through fact finding and data requiring creative approaches to solving complex issues, and develop appropriate solutions or recommendations.
  • Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of business group's functional area or products, facilitate decision making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans.
  • Collaborate and consult with members of the Business Execution team and team leaders to drive strategic initiatives.
  • Influence, guide and lead less experienced Strategy and Execution staff within the group.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Lead business management and operations activities to support enterprise requirements for CIB Risk leaders including Business management, financial management, strategic planning and leader services.
  • Ensure all deliverables and submissions are of high quality, on time and meet the relevant submission criteria as mandated from central enterprise functions.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with CIB Risk leaders and teams are part of supporting activities for their groups.
  • Support the execution of CIB Risk focusing on strategy and transformation, business governance and employee engagement activities.
  • Lead and oversee the design and implementation of processes and routines required to meet deliverables within the defined SLAs and dynamic requirements of the leaders.
  • Support in RCSA (Risk & Control Self-Assessment) submission and drafting control procedure; based controls for CIB Risk SP&G
  • Develop and maintain metrics, reporting and dashboards to monitor execution and effectiveness of in scope control inventory for SP&G owners and leaders.
  • Act as an advisor and consultant to internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrate good project management and timely implementation skills both in routine and Adhoc projects.
  • Present recommendations for resolving more complex situations and exercise independent judgement while developing expertise in the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Prepare high quality presentations and lead discussions for review with senior CIB Risk stakeholders.

Job Expectations:

  • Post graduate degree in Business admiration or equivalent discipline i.e., Management Consulting.
  • Exposure to strategy building for leadership i.e. divisional COS or COO role equivalent.
  • Change management and transition management
  • Hands-on being a leadership advisor
  • International engagement market exposure.
  • Governance process (RCSA Understanding) or any governance activities like Issue management, NBI, etc.
  • Exposure to annual refresh, pre-preparation, business execution.
  • Leadership Reporting.
  • PMP/ Six Sigma / Black belt (good to have).
  • Risk Mitigation Strategy.
  • 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: Project management, Business management or consulting
  • BB or GB certified with at least 4 years of execution experience will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in a captive of international banks will be advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience motivating and influencing groups or individuals across organizational boundaries to gain trust and confidence to make timely decisions.
  • Strong project planning including decision making and prioritization skills.
  • Experience creating, executing, and documenting compliance, control, and business process testing.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience managing and presenting to senior management, and the ability to articulate key messages around impacts to business objectives in a straightforward and understandable manner.
  • Excellent client facing skills, with an ability to discuss, listen, defend, and persuade, presenting strong principles and rationale.
  • Ability to ask appropriate questions, communicate effectively and persuasively to convey solutions to a broad range of stakeholders: business managers, operations managers etc.
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial services industry, including business consulting and administration.
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, project management and prioritizing skills.
