The Chief Operating Office (COO) is responsible for delivering a more consistent approach to business operations across Wells Fargo, strengthening the company’s risk and control infrastructure, and delivering effective and efficient enterprise services to employees and customers.

The COO group includes the head of Operations, who is jointly responsible for line of business operations with each of the five LOB CEOs. Operations functions include contact center operations, client servicing support, money movements within our businesses, lending operations, and other functions.

The COO group also includes several teams dedicated to strengthening Wells Fargo’s risk and control infrastructure. These include the Control Executive team; Regulatory and Policy Affairs; Enterprise Customer Excellence; Sales Practices Oversight and Management; and Strategic Execution and Operations.

The Chief Administrative Office, encompassing the Corporate Properties Group; Corporate Security; Enterprise Business Resiliency; Strategic Programs and Process Improvement; Enterprise Change Management; Supply Chain Management; and Data Management and Insights, delivers important services for our employees and customers.

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Execution Consultant who will report directly to the Director of Incident Communications.  This role will have responsibility for delivering 24/7 Incident Executive Communications.  Specifically, the individual in this role will be responsible for the timely creation of communications to Wells Fargo’s Operating Committee, Regulators and Business Resiliency Community during incidents.

Additional responsibilities include

  • Support operating communication content and channel management activities such as executive level presentations and supporting strategy decks and business routines; i.e. Risk and Regulatory reporting, Monthly Business Reviews, Goal Setting and Accomplishments

  • Pitching and writing enterprise white papers/ articles to promote EIM’s strategies

  • Support published content in EIM’s internal and external SharePoint sites

  • Support Governance routines and manage and maintain risk and control issues or concerns

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience creating, managing and executing communication strategies for C-suite executives

  • Senior leadership experience collaborating at the executive level

  • Ability to analyze data and turn into clear, concise, data-driven messaging for incident/crisis communication; technical writing experience a plus.

  • Ability to quickly establish credibility to build and maintain effective working relationships.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience

  • Prior incident management or crisis management experience

  • Ability to lead strategic initiatives (including Risk and Control initiatives, and Governance related tasks), collaborating across a large organization and multi-tasking as required.

  • Experience presenting information in a manner that persuades, educates, and enhances understanding at all levels.

  • Foundational understanding of Technology, Applications and Infrastructure

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Job expectations:

  • Flexibility to work in a 24/7 environment when incidents arise (this includes early mornings, late nights and occasionally very long days).
