About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer.
In this role, you will:
- Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
- Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
- Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
- Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 8 to 12 years of hands-on IT experience in enterprise applications.
- Good understanding of Core JAVA, micro services, Spring Boot, Spring Integration framework
- Experience working on middleware/caches like Solace, Coherence cache
- Proficient in scripting with python/shell/powershell and linux
- Writing SQL Queries for fault diagnostics, resolution, Change controls and data extracts
- Hands on experience with Jenkins, Udeploy
- Experience in requirements gathering, Analysis and FSD/TDD design.
- Good knowledge in analyzing and fixing Production issues
- Experience with CI/CD and automated deployments.
- Experience in handling technical vulnerabilities and technical debts.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in technologies like Kafka, MongoDb will be an added advantage.
- Experience of UI frameworks like React/Angular.
- Regulatory reporting or Capital Markets Domain Experience
- Experience with reconciliations will be an added advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate with different time zone partners directly
- Good problem solving and analytical skills
- The flexibility to work outside of normal working hours
- Must be a good team player
Job Expectations:
- Also responsible to analyze, interpret, and document requirements for complex and strategic programs by working with Line of Business SME as well as technology teams.
- Define requirements; collaborate on design and process improvements, building, implementing and supporting the requirements for objectives of the firm's Operations Technology department.
- Collaborate regularly with business users to understand pro-actively their technology needs.
- Providing effective and responsive day-to-day technical support for all related business functions
- Driving for results, conveying a sense of urgency and bringing issues to closure despite obstacles and opposition.
- Documenting requirements and writing specifications to build solutions and/or customize and integrate vended solutions.
- Employ structured analysis techniques such as Use Cases, UML, decision tables and also develop solution Test Cases and develop/conduct user training.
- Demonstrating outstanding flexibility and teamwork.
- Demonstrating sound decision making which reflects an understanding of the firm’s business and its priorities.
