Lead Enterprise Risk Officer - Climate Risk Oversight

The Climate Risk Oversight team is seeking a Lead Enterprise Risk Officer to support the design, implementation and ongoing execution of the company’s Climate Risk program. This role will report to the Head of Climate Risk within the SERM function and will be expected to provide solutions and influence change that move the firm closer to meeting its climate risk goals.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead development of climate risk education and awareness efforts in partnership with enterprise sustainability and other Independent Risk Management teams
  • Deliver solutions that require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking, and coordination of highly complex activities and guidance to others
  • Partner with managers to deliver risk reporting to executive management, committees, and Board of Directors and assist in development of actionable insights
  • Coordinate responses to regulatory exams and audits, including progress tracking against feedback or corrective actions as needed
  • Provide coordination and support the development of climate risk content for external disclosures

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Risk Management experience (Compliance, Financial Crimes, Operational Risk, Audit, Legal, Credit Risk, Market Risk, IT Systems Security, Business Process Management) or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience and knowledge of sustainability and climate related risk management
  • Experience developing education and awareness materials
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.  Ability to clearly and concisely communicate (both written and verbal) with business partners, peers and senior management and lead discussions.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction; superior ability to exercise independent judgment and apply prudent risk mitigation principles
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thoroughly research and analyze options and impacts of solutions
