The Lead Credit Risk Officer will lead CRO oversight efforts, challenge process and provide guidance to the Front Line. This position uses subject matter knowledge to advise front line management regarding performance, emerging risks, and business conformity with risk appetite, credit culture, and policies. This role will collaborate with independent risk management (IRM) risk pod partners comprised of Business Aligned Compliance Officer (BACO) and Operational Risk Business Oversight (ORBO) to document all applicable risks.
In this role, you will:
- Lead complex initiatives including those that are cross-functional with broad impact and act as key participant in driving the company credit culture, desire, and business performance for Credit Risk.
- Review and analyze complex strategies, programs and policies with a direct and significant impact on credit risk appetite and culture.
- Receive direction from leaders.
- Exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
- Interact with internal and external customers.
- Collaborate with business for oversight of risk management.
- Interact with Audit, Legal, external agencies, and regulatory bodies on risk related topics.
- Proven leadership experience and skills.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Credit Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to complete investigations with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proven technical writing and communication skills.
- Strong collaboration skills with demonstrated ability to successfully manage strategic initiatives with business partners.
- Knowledge of origination underwriting platforms.
- Knowledge of Delegation of Credit Approval Authority program
- Experience with Home Lending credit decisions and policies.
- Ability to read and interpret control effectiveness testing results.
- Judgmental quality review experience.

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
