About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Systems Operations Engineer in technology

as part of Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology (CCIBT) with proficiency in the banking and finance sector. This position will be responsible for server and application production support in a 24x7 environment including automation development, performance tools and Build and Deploy.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex, broad impact initiatives including provision of high level systems consultation for the technology teams

  • Work as key participant in large scale planning of computer systems and network infrastructure for Systems Operations functional area

  • Review and analyze complex technical challenges, as well as escalated support issues related to core business solutions that require in depth evaluation of multiple factors, such as alternatives, enhancements, periodic systems reviews, or improvements to existing systems

  • Make decisions on technical changes and enhancements

  • Consult with engineering team on change design requiring solid understanding of technical process controls or standards that influence and drive new initiatives

  • Collaborate and consult with technical peers, colleagues, and mid to more experienced level managers to resolve systems support issues and achieve goals

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 3+ years of experience with automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Python

Desired Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of application production support experience

  • 3+ years of JAVA or .NET support experience

  • 3+ years of Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Linux or UNIX server support experience

  • 3+ years of capital markets experience

  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with application observability tools like Splunk, ELK, Grafana and Prometheus

  • Knowledge and understanding of secure multi-protocol transmission services

  • Knowledge and understanding of PKI and SSL concepts

  • Experience with documentation tools like Visio, MS Word, Confluence, Excel and Splunk

  • Knowledge and understanding of DevOps principles

  • Experience supporting an enterprise-level environment

  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization, including management

  • Ability to analyze, define and document requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environments, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks, controls, and outputs using standard methodologies

  • Ability to analyze information and provide recommendations to address and resolve business issues for a specific business group.

  • Ability to guide and consult with IT management and technical staff regarding use of emerging technologies and associated services

  • Ability to participate in defining corporate implementation and integration strategies of new technologies

  • Ability to solve software and infrastructure issues

  • Strong team or technical leadership experience

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
