About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Risk Analytics Consultant
In this role, you will:
- Provide credible challenge of model execution control processes to ensure all risks are mitigated using rigorous and largely automated control routines that are in compliance with Wells Fargo company policies
- Support efforts related to G&O, COSO, and EUCT compliance. Develop documentation including process narratives and procedures ensuring compliance within key policy and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with development, monitoring and implementation teams to lead internal and external audit as well as regulatory engagements, ensuring robust control documentation and timely and appropriate communication with testing teams.
- Provide project management support for RMG projects ensuring that multiple teams are working together to create cohesive modeling, implementation and execution solutions that enable effective Commercial, and/or PPNR forecasting processes within the following areas: Credit stress testing, Basel, financial planning and Allowance/CECL processes.
- Maintain documentation for implementation and monitoring processes across the team with focus on standardization of controls
Required Qualifications:
- Overall experience around 12+ years in similar role
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative fields such as applied mathematics, statistics, engineering, finance, accounting, economics, econometrics or computer science
- 5+ years of experience in credit risk analytics and reporting
- 3+ years of programming expertise in SAS or Python
- Strong project management skills with ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas
- Expert in risk identification, control development and audit coordination
- Knowledge and understanding of issues or change management processes
- Experience determining root cause analysis
- Flexibility with changing priorities
Desired Qualifications:
- Sound understanding of control development and monitoring within highly complex processes
- 3+ years in Big4 accounting, focused on IT General Controls within highly automated processes
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to identify and manage complex issues and negotiate solutions within a geographically dispersed organization
- Process documentation experience
- Experience facilitating meetings
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
- Detail oriented, results driven, and has the ability to navigate in a quickly changing and high demand environment while balancing multiple priorities
- Ability to research and report on a variety of issues using problem solving skills
- Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
