About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead to drive strategic operational resilience planning and execution. This role joins the exciting and growing area of operational resilience within the Wells Fargo Enterprise Business Resiliency organization, reporting to the Enterprise Business Resiliency Planning Executive. The Enterprise Business Resiliency organization enables product and service resilience through proactive preparedness, connected risk appetite and tolerance levels, adaptability to new risk environments and successful recovery in an event through synchronized execution across Business, Technology, Cyber, Data, and Third-Party Resiliency. Operational resilience is focused on the ability of financial services firms and the finance services sector to prevent, adapt, respond to, recover, and learn from operational disruptions.
This role is responsible strengthening of the company's operational resilience planning framework and program management globally. This includes ensuring a consistent framework is in place to systematically identify, manage, evolve, and monitor the firm’s most critical processes (Important Business Services). This role will support strategic planning, development, and maturation of the operational resiliency enterprise program with a strong focus on collaborative execution, building stakeholder awareness and driving adoption of enterprise operational resilience requirements and its evolving global operating model. In this role you will interact with senior leaders and teams globally across different businesses and functions, leading and managing program areas that have a direct impact on the operational stability of the Firm.
In this role, you will:
- Act as a Business Execution advisor to leadership to drive performance and initiatives, and develop and implement information delivery or presentations to key stakeholders and senior management
- Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges related to Business Execution that require solid analytical skills, extensive knowledge of Business Execution, and understanding of business, delivering longer term and large scale solutions
- Provide vision, direction, and expertise to senior leadership for implementing innovative and significant business solutions that are large scale and cross organizational
- Lead program meetings or steering committee to facilitate decision making and support implementation of recommendations and plans
- Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across multiple lines of businesses and serve as an experienced advisor to the leadership
- Provide direction to a cross functional team using business expertise
- Strengthen operational business resilience planning efforts across Firm including strengthening the operating model to better integrate regional considerations
- Pursue continuous improvement of the operational resilience framework to ensure compliance with global regulatory expectations and process optimization
- Drive, manage and support internal communications and forums to encourage and enable collaboration and adoption
- Support existing governance roles in resilience and risk committees, to ensure effective engagement in resiliency assurance, planning and mitigation activities
- Develop/provide expert knowledge on operational resiliency, understand strategy, risk, and change drivers for the work, and be able to communicate key details clearly and concisely to executive leaders and stakeholders
- Drive awareness and adoption of operational resiliency by strategically engaging with partners and stakeholders across the Enterprise and serve as an expert advisor on operational resiliency and serving as a trusted advisor
- Manage or lead strategic initiatives in support of strengthening the firm’s resiliency program and capabilities
- Respond to regulatory requests and exams, as applicable
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience and strong understanding in continuity and resiliency methodologies
- Experience in large financial services company or consulting firm
- Experience in related areas such as third party risk management, information security, data management
- Experience planning and delivering change (Both Technology and People side of change)
- Experience interacting with and supporting US banking regulatory exams
- Experience managing a global team
