Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Accountability Specialist to join the Consumer, Small, and Business Banking (CSBB) Branch Oversight and Support Issue Management Team. Learn more about the career areas and business divisions at www.wellsfargo.com.
In this role, you will:
- Provide administrative and support for the management of issues throughout the issue lifecycle. This includes reporting, facilitation of policy requirements, and serve as the subject matter expert for the corporate Issue Management policy and procedures and associated handbooks and guidelines.
- Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, mid to senior-level managers and Issue Management partners to identify current and emerging changes associated with issue management activities and operations, and provide guidance in interpreting, developing, and implementing program activities.
- Assess, analyze, and execute controls designed specifically for issue management, protocols, and approaches with respect to risk mitigation.
- Make decisions in complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of business’s functional area or products, operations, and regulatory environment; facilitate decision-making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans; influence and lead key business partners to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives.
- Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid to senior-level managers to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations, and provide guidance in interpreting, developing, and implementing risk-mitigating strategies.
- Act as liaison for issue management peers, management, and business partners with external parties to support timeliness, appropriate response strategy, and effectiveness of communications and materials.
- Lead projects and teams in a matrixed environment and serve as a peer mentor.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years Experience in risk management, business controls, quality assurance, business operations, compliance, or process, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Desired Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of issue management policy
- Previous issue management experience
- Experience supporting/partnering with Branch Banking line of business.
- Knowledge and understanding of banking: regulations, compliance, policies, process, and procedures (Reg E, UDAAP, Reg B, CIP/CDD, BSA/AML, etc.)
- Experience partnering with Independent Risk Management and Internal Audit teams.
- Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels.
- Ability to influence, partner, and negotiate with senior business leaders to gain commitment to accomplish business goals.
- Ability to facilitate and lead meetings to reach conclusions, identify tasks, record actions, and achieve results.
- Ability to articulate issues, risks, and proposed solutions to various levels of staff and management.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Advanced SharePoint skills
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
