About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Technology Business Systems Associate to join a team that provides Quality Assurance, System testing to General Ledger, and General Ledger Financial Reporting tools within the Controller’s Division of Enterprise Finance. This role will align the team to the strategic project testing, planning and execution, and work closely with various stake holders and technology team.

In this role, you will:

  • Participate in researching, evaluating and investigating low complexity transactions and data to meet business requirements
  • Review basic technical business problems that can be resolved with automated systems related to low-risk tasks and deliverables
  • Receive direction from supervisors and exercise judgement within defined parameters in the development of guidelines for the use of result tracking systems
  • Coordinate project plans, schedules, budgets and provide information to managers, functional colleagues and stakeholders within technology business systems operations
  • Interact with experienced Business Systems Consultants on revising existing automated systems that are cost effective and meet business requirements
  • Work with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and make necessary changes to the database


Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of Business Systems Data experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong Business or IT experience in financial services domain with strong exposure with SDLC/Agile practices e.g., Kanban, Scrum, SAFe
  • Proven experience in IT QA/ Testing and test automation in financial domain
  • Bachelors/master’s degree in IT, Science, Mathematics, Statistics or like
  • Strong Oracle SQL/PL and SQL writing skills
  • Good exposure to banking and finance domain
  • Good experience in testing automation and leading small to medium complex testing automation projects
  • Strong risk management leadership and dependency management skills
  • Strong organization, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
  • Version control tools
  • Exposure to Python
  • Experience in ETL / Functional / Manual Testing
  • Advanced technical skills SQL, Big Data, Apache Spark, Python.
  • Advanced testing, workflow & collaboration tools, e.g., ALM, Octane, Confluence and Jira.
  • Triage highly complex defects, define root cause and detailed options to address
  • Advanced understanding of data lineage, data profiling
  • Highly organized and efficient.
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure
  • Strong understanding of AGILE methodology, JIRA, and related tools
  • Strong understanding financial systems and data, data profiling and data flow. Strong experience in testing data quality, data sanity and integrity of financial data


Job Expectations:

  • The Technology Business Systems Associate position is in a team that provides Quality Assurance for the General Ledger tools and processes within the Controller’s Division of Enterprise Finance. 
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) 
  • Ability to perform functional testing of system enhancements.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relational databases: SQL
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex technical problems
  • Knowledge and understanding of database querying and creating ad hoc reporting results using SQL or similar querying methods.
  • Support stakeholder development by maintaining ongoing interaction that increases their awareness, understanding, accountability, and engagement in the reporting process
  • Perform Reviews of various deliverables, identify issues and manage risk by self-identification of issues
  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including senior managers
  • Coordinate in project test planning, test environment planning, data requirement for various strategic testing initiative
  • Build and report performance and risk metrics, participate in system performance reviews and provide inputs for the continuous improvements
  • Demonstrate strong collaboration with various Scrum and Kanban team, close coordination with product owners and support various products demonstrating strong functional capability
  • Understand complex business requirements and convert those into logical test cases
  • Create test plan and test lab for SIT and UAT testing
  • Perform manual DB and application testing, compare results
  • Create defect as appropriate and perform defect reporting and defect management
  • Explore testing automation opportunities and implement for efficiency improvement
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders in AGILE methodology
  • Support different SIT and UAT test cycles
  • Demonstrate process improvement and testing automation capabilities.
  • Work Hours: 1:30PM IST to 10:30PM IST
