About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer


In this role, you will:

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Required Qualifications for Europe, Middle East & Africa only:

  • Experience in Software Engineering, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of hands-on software architecture, design, and development experience.
  • Technology oriented B.E/B Tech Degree or equivalent advanced degree
  • Primary Skills: Full stack Java Skills both Backend and Frontend with ReactJS, Databases like Oracle,  MS SQL, Postgres
  • Secondary Skills: Kafka, Python, Apache Spark, NoSQL databases
  • Analytic and excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proactive and can work independently
  • At least 4+ years of experience in design, unit test automation, machine learning engineering, data engineering, Software engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python will be added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with cloud environments such as OpenShift, GCP or Azure.
  • Ability to teach, mentor and lead through influence.
  • Resilience to obstacles, and ability to solve problems independently.
  • Ability to assess issues, make quick decisions, implement solutions, and influence change
  • Experience working in a large enterprise environment
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with a variety of contacts including mid-level managers


Job Expectations:

  • Responsible for design, prototyping, and delivery of software solutions for Payments Technology platform using Java Fullstack Microservice based designs.
  • Should have experience with SQL database programming, SQL performance tuning, relational model analysis.
  • Good understanding on Java 17+ features, Steams, Workflow management, CICD, and Change Management.
  • A good team player who can collaborate and work closely with multiple functional groups.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under stringent timelines within a strong, high energy team environment.
  • Ability to work in Agile environment
  • Must have the ability to relate to both business and technical members of the team and possess excellent communication skills.
  • Should be able to provide oversight and technical guidance for Junior developers.
  • Candidates must have outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills and a good grasp of the technical side of business intelligence.
  • Working knowledge of relational data structures / models / relationships
  • Responsible for performance tuning and scalability improvements of distributed applications
  • Researching and evaluation of new tools and technologies to solve business problems
  • Translates business concepts to technical implementations to drive alignment and decision making
  • Works on an geographically dispersed team embracing Agile strategies for themselves and others while driving adoption to enable greater technology and business value
  • Experience supporting the build-out and running of transformation pipeline and monitoring automation deployments
