About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking an Institutional Rates Sales Analyst in London.
The successful candidates will work as part of a client facing, front office sales team in a fast paced trading floor
environment.
The role will be a wide ranging one in assisting the Senior Marketers in London, helping them provide in-depth Rates product coverage.
The Interest Rates Flow team helps clients manage their exposure to interest rate risk. We provide both cash products and interest rate derivatives to our clients, who are large international corporations, fund managers, insurance
companies and central banks. We work closely with our internal partners to identify clients who could potentially derive benefits from the various interest rate hedging solutions we provide.
The Sales Analyst will be involved in all aspects of client coverage, from gathering, analysing and updating client presentation materials to pitching and trade execution.
The role has a high degree of contact with senior traders and clients. In time, we would expect the Analyst to progress towards becoming a more senior sales person with responsibility for their own client base ..

In this role, you will:
Provide daily client coverage support, including, but not limited to trade execution, trade pricing and responding to daily and varied customer service requests.
Effectively communicate with clients to understand their needs and to come up with innovative solutions
Gain an understanding of asset-liability risk management techniques and issues.
Generating and continuously updating client presentation materials, distributions and trade ideas .
Ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met for each customer.
Proactively improving processes and procedures to enhance desk efficiency and effectiveness
This position is subject to regulatory screening requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background screen.
Required Qualifications:
Experience in Securities Sales, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
A Bachelor's (or higher) degree, preferably in a relevant (numerate discipline) subject with minimum 2:1 attainment
Relevant prior work experience in a Markets role, preferably Rates, preferably from sell-side
Strong interest In financial markets and derivatives. Prior experience in a financial institution, fixed income or capital markets role or internship would be desirable.
Analytical skills to understand complex derivatives, systems and associated documentation with attention to detail
Basic understanding of both US and EU regulatory environments for derivatives
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work effectively both in an independent manner and in a collaborative teamwork capacity
Track record of developing strong and trusting relationships with business partners
Intermediate (or higher) Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) knowledge
Intermediate (or higher) Bloomberg knowledge
Effective organisational, multi-tasking and prioritisation skills.
Fluency in a language other than English although not essential, would be well received.
