About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking three Market Risk Specialists for its Wholesale Counterparty Credit Risk team, responsible for managing/administering counterparties which are trading vehicles active in capital markets, trading with the various affiliates of Wells Fargo.  Client types include regulated funds, separately managed vehicles and agented accounts financial institutions trading capital markets products.  WCCR is one of the primary underwriting and portfolio management teams covering capital market traded products for the Corporate Investment Bank.

In this role, you will:

  • Participate in developing, maintaining and providing oversight of market, interest rate and counterparty risk activities across the enterprise
  • Identify opportunity to ensure risk remains within established risk appetite in Market Risk
  • Perform or evaluate basic risk models such as trading, market, interest rate, delivery and counterparty credit risk exposures
  • Ensure that risks within the business are properly identified and consistent with the Risk Management Framework
  • Present recommendations for resolving risk issues, limits or capital use and provide reporting while also assessing theory and mathematics behind various models
  • Exercise independent judgment while developing expertise to perform activities for evaluating and approving risk models
  • Collaborate and consult with management and board of directors to provide periodic or scheduled risk reports that present a companywide view of risk management

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 2+ years of market risk, Capital Markets, desk analyst, trading, interest rate risk or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of one or a combination of the following: counterparty or credit risk, market risk, capital markets trading or interest rate risk, desk analyst experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a focus on mathematics; strong communicators (both verbal and written) preferred
  • Experienced individual with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
