Lead Capital Markets Middle Office Specialist - FCM & Prime Brokerage Operations

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Capital Markets Middle Office Specialist to support the Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) and Prime Services Operations teams in Wells Fargo Corporate & Investment Banking Operations Group.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) and Prime Services Operations teams in Wells Fargo CIB Operations Group.
  • Focus on the idea creation, prioritization, documentation, and delivery of strategic change across these teams.
  • Understand the core responsibilities of all groups within these teams, working with management to identify risks, industry initiatives, and areas of opportunity to develop and execute strategic changes including the further development of the offshore strategy for the team.
  • Collaborate with support partners (risk, PS&D, technology, finance, business) to communicate and understand priorities in order to create an actionable and realistic roadmap.
  • Coordinate the production of all MIS reporting across the team globally.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Capital Markets industry experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Understanding of other Capital Markets operational functions including, but not limited to broker dealer funding, settlements, PS&D, PRE, and Middle Office
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience in presenting and preparing proposals to recommend new processes/services that optimize house and client assets.
  • Knowledge of investment portfolio strategy, banking and financial instruments.
  • Advanced analytical, organization and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent collaboration, verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to break down problems into meaningful parts and come to a rational and well thought out conclusions.
  • Demonstrate the ability to identify strategic opportunities and make specific recommendations
  • Demonstrate the ability to identify inefficient and/or ineffective processes and provide solution options.
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office (Project, Vision, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Advanced Microsoft spreadsheet and modeling skills
  • Strong ability to manage multiple initiatives and related tasks
  • Highly motivated with ability to drive results
  • Demonstrate the ability to identify strategic opportunities and make specific recommendations
  • Expertise in designing process flows, diagrams
  • Ability to establish relationships with all levels within the organization
  • Strong written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team player who is willing to learn and seek guidance from others as needed.
  • Aptitude to handle various tasks and work in an organized manner under pressure and time constraints
  • Strong ability to synthesize and structure data into appropriate Management Information System (MIS) reporting that highlights critical performance elements to senior stakeholders in an accurate, scalable approach
  • Working knowledge of Futures, Equities, Prime Brokerage, and OTC products
  • Strong understanding of complete trade lifecycle (clearance, settlement, funding, collateral, client services, brokerage)
  • Experience in managing and breaking down complex issues into simplified and clear solutions

This role may be located at either of the following locations:

  • One Wells Fargo Center, 301 S. College St, Charlotte, NC
  • 30 Hudson Yards, 500W. 33rd St, New York, NY
  • NY – New York City Pay Range: $115,900- $206,100 Annually

Currently, this position falls under the scope of this mandate.
