Senior Cybersecurity Architect

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Architect, within Information Cyber Security Architecture (ICSA), who is focused on providing security architecture and design solutions, vendor and product evaluations, consulting, and education for all lines of business. ICA is seeking a senior information security architect for our application threat model delivery team.

In this role, you will:

  • Engage and collaborate with application teams to derive an accurate description of their application architectures
  • Model the architectures
  • Apply our threat modeling methodology to identify and prioritize threats to those applications and to apply mitigating controls
  • Create new information security requirements for applications that have insufficiently mitigated threats
  • Guide application teams in the implementation of new security requirements
  • Collaborate with other information security architects in the creation of new mitigating controls where a sufficient mitigation does not previously exist for a threat
  • Collaborate with other information security architects in the continual improvement of the threat modeling practice
  • Keep abreast of new and emerging information security threats 

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 4+ years of Systems Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years of experience in Information Security.
  • 3+ years of technology or Application Development experience
  • 1+ year of security risk assessment or threat modeling working experience

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience
  • Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of customers, team members and management
  • Ability to work effectively in virtual environment where key team members and partners are in various time zones and locations
  • Exposure to identifying key issues, involve affected parties, design solutions, obtain buy-in, and communicate effectively through resolution
  • Exposure to delivering results in an agile environment driven by priorities
  • Knowledge and understanding of cyber threats and associated mitigation controls concept and design
  • A cybersecurity certification would be highly advantageous (Security+, SSCP, CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CSSLP, CEH, etc.)

Job Expectations:

  • Hybrid to start; Up to 3 Days in the Office


Pay Range

$96,600.00 - $171,800.00 Annual
