Lead Data Management Analyst

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Data Management Analyst within the DMI Organization.


In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with the DMI Relationship Managers, Business Leads and Technology personnel on the highest business priority projects. 

  • Organize and lead companywide initiatives to ensure that data quality is maintained so that data can effectively support business processes

  • Identify new data sources and develop recommendations for assessing the quality of new data

  • Expert for their assigned Lines of Business, developing and/or refining data use cases, leading data analysis and data profiling, executing data source selection most appropriate to solve

  • Adhere to data governance standards and procedures

  • Mentor less experienced staff members

  • Consult with and provide recommendations to senior management regarding assessments of the current state of data and metadata quality within area of assigned responsibility

  • Represent client in cross-functional groups to develop companywide data governance strategies

  • Partner with groups and various levels of seniority companywide to coordinate and drive collaboration on solution design and remediation execution


Required Qualifications, US:

  • 7+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: data management, data governance, data quality or data analysis demonstrated through work or military experience

  • 7+ years of experience with data governance and management practices

  • 7+ years of experience with SAS or SQL, or other data management, reporting and query tools

  • 5+ years of experience performing data profiling

  • 5+ years of experience in data management related areas such as metadata or lineage, data governance or data quality

  • 1+ year of leadership experience including coaching, training, and mentoring


Desired Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

  • Agile experience

  • Experienced in querying and analysis expertise with databases and file systems including Teradata, Hadoop, Linux/Unix and Oracle.
