About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Principal Analytics Consultant supporting Small Business Credit Card product in the Cards & Merchant Services (CMS) division. Learn more about the career areas and lines of business at .

In this role, you will:

  • Act as a top subject matter expert to lead model development, data strategies, and analytical models with companywide impact, high risk, and with significant scope, cost, and benefits
  • Lead the strategy and resolution of the most complex and significant challenges companywide, delivering highly complex, analytical, and modeling solutions that are long term, large scale, broad reaching
  • Demonstrate vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical, and inductive thinking, and coordination of highly complex activities and resolution
  • Provide model development, complex business analysis, developing analytical strategies, and complex projects
  • Provide vision, leadership, and industry expertise regarding complex companywide strategies that significantly influence the organization's business and financial operations
  • Engage with peers, managers risk, compliance, managers companywide, and serve as an expert advisor to leadership team

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 10+ years of Analytics and Reporting, Financial Modeling, Statistics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in SMB Credit Card data analytics
  • Knowledge of third-party data sources related to SMB (marketing universes, bureau data, verticals, business usage and consumption data)
  • Ability to build new business relationships with outside vendors to understand the value of their data and capabilities
  • Ability to pull and analyze data from relational database (SAS/SQL proficient) / coding experience
  • Familiarity with predictive modeling
  • A desire to learn and work in a cloud architecture supporting data modernization with commiserate tools like Python.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks well at the same time
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable presenting to Sr. management
  • Financial services experience
  • Ability to work in a matrixed environment and influence change when needed
  • Experience in credit risk preferred (in a Credit Card environment)
