Senior Lead Product Owner, Benefits

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Product Owner, Benefits and Total Rewards, to join the HR Product & Portfolio Management team, leading the Benefits Product Team. The Benefits Product enables benefit processes globally to support benefit programs as part of Wells Fargo’s overall Total Rewards strategy. The product encompasses benefits that are administered internally by Wells Fargo as well as benefits with administration outsourced to a 3rd party such as 401(k) and Commuter Benefits. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who possesses proven leadership qualities and knowledge of corporate Benefits programs and processes. The person in this role will leverage their strategic and critical thinking skills to define and enhance the delivery of Wells Fargo’s Benefit products, tools, and services.

In this role, you will:

  • Articulate product vision, define scope, prioritize backlog, establish Objects and Key Results (OKRs), and provide direction for the Benefits Product team.

  • Lead the Benefits product team of analysts and developers to design, develop, and deliver long-term, large-scale solutions to complex and unique challenges with a focus on regulatory impact and risk management.

  • Serve as an expert advisor to product leadership and cross-product leaders on Benefits related matters.

  • Advise the Corporate Benefits senior leadership team to influence benefits plan designs as well as build vs. buy decisions.

  • Develop, maintain, and conduct quarterly Product Roadmap reviews with Corporate Benefits leadership Benefits operations, and control teams.

  • Maintain Agile prioritization strategies to ensure high quality product delivery that meets business needs and expectations.

  • Engage with product leaders across HR and the enterprise to identify cross product impacts as well as opportunities for cross-product solutions.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Product Management, product development, strategic planning, process management, change delivery, or agile product owner experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with the design, implementation, and/or administration of Benefit programs, including Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k plans, for a large-scale corporation (ideally with 100k employees or more).

  • Hands on working knowledge of Workday SAAS suite, including HCM, Payroll, and Benefits, or similar product.

  • Experience operating in an Agile environment with multiple Product teams.

  • Experience with JIRA to support Human Capital Management (HCM) projects.

  • Relationship building at senior levels and ability to drive decision making through a consensus building approach.

Job Expectations:

  • Position will require onsite presence in a hybrid capacity ( 3 or more days in the office and up to 2 days remotely per week ) from any of the required locations listed below.

  • Position locations: Minneapolis, MN; Charlotte, NC; West Des Moines, IA; San Antonio, TX; Irving, TX; Phoenix, AZ; Chandler, AZ.

  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.
